Your right, No Kitana should equal: no Fan stance. Those are 100% Kitana. Though if it turns out that they kill her off (don't worry, very doubtful) Mayber her murder could take them, kind of like Mavado did to Kabal. But I still feel funny about anyone else have them but Kitana. So my vote is definitely not!!

No one. They are Kitanas and no one else should use them. After the disgrace that was Li Mei with the Sai, we don't need another feeble attempt at stealing someone elses weapons.

If someone did have to have them, then Sindel or Jade should have them.

Throughout the years many women that debuted in many games only Kitana was able to weild the fan with such grace, accuracy, finesse,and power. I have yet to see any other video game women pull that off. (Especially Anime women that try to hard)

Any way I felt Kitana should have made a return. I'm hoping that she does! Remember that the game is still in progress and maybe she will be a hidden chracter. Besides her only rival was her grotesque clone Mileena and now she also needs to deal with that ghetto traitor chick Tanya. But maybe that's why Sindel is in the game. It would be wrong to have Kitana fight her mother agian.

do u think lei mei will have them ? since millena seems to have the same fighting styles as lei mei maybe the new lei mei has kitana's moves ?

I hope no one else gets them. They belong to Kitana. It would be weird seeing someone else with the fans. SO NO ONE!!

Those steel fans are Kitana’s trademark. So if she is not going to be in the game then I think no one else should get the fans. If they ever kill off Kitana then they kill off the steel fans too. Besides those weapons will only fit well with a female and if they give it to another female then I’m sure people are gonna say she is a Kitana rip off. And I’m going to be pissed.

Jade had them back in Mk2, so I dont see whats wrong if another character had them.

Jade only had them cause she was a secret character. No secret characters ever had their own moves in the 2-D games.

So Jade doesn't count since she wasn't playable and she was just a secret character which means they had to pick one of the female's weapons.


On topic- No one should take them. I'm just hoping Tanya or Li Mei doesn't get them somehow since that would be just dumb.

I would not like to see tanya with them at all, sindel maybe but she doesnt look like the type of character to carry those fans around. Sindels persona is different. She would probably have a wip or something like that. Jade with fans wouldnt work anymore because she was given a different weapon in UMK3, so that would probably be her weapon if she ended up being in MK6.

Oh, She had better NOT! I, for one, would be extremely pissed off if that happened. I was just starting to come around to Lei Mei, but if she pulls another weapon steel (excepting the Kama) that would be inexcusable. I say if Kitana Dies, the fans get buried with her. No exceptions! Also like tgrant said, Lei Mei made a horrible go at the sai as a weapon, I don't even want to think about how her character would butcher the fans.

I DO agree the fans are Kitanas trademark FOREVER!!!!!!! She is the only one who should keep them!

But what he says is true, Jade had them, does not matter if she was secret or not, she had them.

Yes but jade had them only in one game and only the fan throw. When she returned she had her own unique moves those boomerang throws. And for her weapon I think the staff would be most obvious.

I think Kitana is more deserving to return than ANY of these "classic" MK characters, like *cough* Tanya *cough*!

Kitana and her fans is the same as Scorpion and his spear,no one can handle others weapon,is like a signature move....there're lots of weapons designs,so then,why give another the weapons of other character????....

Kitana's fans are Kitana's alone. It's looking like Kitana will probably show up as an unlockable/secret character, IMO. The exact numbers given, xx classics, xx from DA, xx etc etc aren't going to include hidden characters; I bet we can bank on that, and the deck is just stacked too much in Kitana's favor to ignore.

*IF* anybody were to be given them, the ONLY acceptable person would be Sindel. Fans are a weapon of royalty, requiring equal parts elegance, finesse, and style - they're not a club for the masses to wield. Only Sindel could pull it off, but I'd still rather see them remain Kitana's trademark.
