I think they should actually make his hat throw realistic this time around. In all the games so far his hat is surrounded by some type of glow when you use his Hat Throw move. It makes it look un-realistic. It's just a hat, not a fireball, (A hat with a blade around it of course). In MK6 I think they should take away the weird sound effects and the glows around the hat when he throws it and make it look and sound like a regular hat being thrown, lol. Same thing with Mileena. If she happens to be in it, forget the rocket sound effect and the glowing cloud that surrounds her sais when she throws them. Make it look and sound like a realistic, deadly Sai throw. grin I think there was another character that had this un-realistic projectile problem, but I can't remember right now.

I understand but I think it's fine the way it is. The only thing it needs is that there should be an animation after the hat hits the opponent. In other words, after the hat hits the opponent, there should be animation showing the hat coming back to Kung Lao and Kung Lao catching it with his hand. Sound good?

Yeah I've always hated the way it just magicaly appeared back on his head. Also Kung Lao's hat I believe is a metal shield. It makes more sense to me anyway since it's a martial arts weapon in real life as well. It would be cool to see him have the hat/shield as his weapon in the next MK. Anyone who's seen a martial artist use a shield as a weapon knows what I mean. It's definately a kickass weapon...Just my opinion.

Yeah, it's as if Kung Lao has an unlimited supply of magic hats. tongue He throws one, another appears on his head. ^_^ I hate that. I agree with you Sub-Zero_7th and GrimGrin:D.

it would be awesome if a kung laos weapon was his own hat . Grim Grean was right on target. I just think not everyone shoud have a sword, there should be extreme diversity this time so that the game is very diverse and each character has their own unique characteristics.

Kung Lao's hat should come back to him like a fris-bee, no matter if he hits the opponent or if his opponent blocks it.
as for the glow..... i kinda like it.... but thats my opinion wink

How do U expect Kung to catch a hat with a blade around it? tongue

He hasn't an unlimited supply of magic hats, but just one old, worn hat which is constantly teleported on his head after being thrown. wink

OK. Here's my idea. What if that hat takes double damage when hits the opponent, but then stays on the ground. And if U want to throw it again U need to pick it up. This also creates some connection to that idea where opponents can pick up your own weapon.

or... they can just simply make it a fireball type move... like... use the hat to swing out the aura, and let the aura have the same slicing effect as it did in mkda

personaly...i always hated it it appeared back on his head and also...if they wanna make it a step more towards realistic..then make and animation where it gets stuck int he person you threw it at then they rip it out and throw it back at as a kinda "lets see how you do against your own weapon" type thing you know? then he catches it...or they take it out..throw it on the ground and you have to pick it up to use it again

i think they should bring back the "pick up" stuff like in mk4...make things interesting..especialy since the kombat is way better now, before...their hearts were in the right place but their minds..no...no thank jebus both are in the right place again lol

As U can see on the picture below...

...Blade's Glaive (Shredder on the picture) has a hilt and Kung Lao's hat hasn't. So Kung have to be incredibly agile and dexterous in order to catch a hat with a blade around it while it's coming back to him and not be cut. As a matter of fact Blade's Glaives are not so easy to catch either. Besides, we can't forget that both characters aren't very realistic. And they shouldn't !

So I think we should stop nitpicking and leave it the way it is. Let's be honest... it's not so bad.

Give him really thick gloves, with a metal plate in them grin

I think its fine the way it is, its not perfect but neither is anything else in life.

I always hated the glow around Kano's knives. To me having weapons is kind of silly, if I was told I could go to a fighting tournament and bring weapons I would bring semi-automatic guns or something a bit more powerful.

as long as they can keep the hat from moving all over his freakin' head then i have no problem.

Oh lordy who cares? Yeah make him go throw his hat then go and pick it up while in a battle. No. It's a magic and weird hat...it's fine just like that.
By the way I don't think Mileena is coming back at all...but I'm almost 97,867% sure Kung Lao is going to be in MK6 I mean duh, I swear.
