Why do so many find the concept that MORE than one person can have a particular weapon so impossible? The same issue came up about Jade/Raiden with the Staff. There are MANY fighters that fight with Sai, there are MANY fighters that fight with the staff..etc.. The fact is that with MOST weapons there is more than one stlye of fighting with said weapon. Hence two fighters can have the same weapon and meet in battle and use the weapon completely different than their opponent. Kabal and Mavado(if he's back) both can have the hookswords, just give them different move sets.


However, if Mavado were to recieve a new weapon, maybe ... A whipchain? Or a 3 sectional staff? It's still my opinion that he should keep a pair of hookswords though. Just make his move set with them faster and more cunning...and have Kabals be more to the point and IN YOUR FACE brutal.

only thing is, mavados hook swords WERE Kabals hook swords. He took them in battle i think after Kabal was (supposedly) finished.

It's interesting that they had all the moves captured for a three-section staff in MKDA but no one had the weapon. So there's a fairly good chance someone will have it in MKD.

Since they're both Red Dragon, it would make a little bit of sense.

Yeah..when I played MKDA I was wondering about that. It's a great weapon that I would love to see in MKD.

Sun and Earth Hammers (just put spikes ont the hammers and ur all set )


The Emei Piercers (used like tonfas as well)


Ghost Head Sword (my personal fav)


3 Section Chain Whip (for ppl who don't know wat they look like)


9 Section Chain Whip (same reason as the 3)


Goose Wing Broadsword (this with the Ghost? fuh-get-about-it!)


Twin Hook Butterfly Swords (butterfly knives meet twin hook swords at its finest!)



The one that Bezou put up is the Double Hook Spear, an excellent choice! Well these should definetly give u something to talk about. Enjoy .

I think Mavado will get the Butterfly Knives cause he DID kill Kano.

I would love to see Mavado with any of those weapons. Hell, I'd just love to see any of those weapons. There's lots of people we don't know the weapon style of yet. But I doubt Mavado will be in MKD.

Actually now that u mentioned it, it does seem more like a boomerang.

I wouldnt like it if Mavado had the same weapon as Kabal. Whether it LOOKS slightly different or not, it takes away the uniqueness of a certain character. All those "hooksword" style weapons that KingKabal posted would look awesome with Mavado though IMO.

Although most wont agree with me, i think it would be cool if Mavado used Hsu Hao's weapon. He'd basically use it for revenge against Jax, in honor for Hsu Hao. Afterall, he IS Hsu Hao's boy.

Well, maybe combining the Goose Wing and Ghost Head might be a deadly match. They look the least bit of the "hook" style. Otherwise, ya he could use Hsu Hao's weapons. But Hsu's hardware still looks like the hookswords in a way......

KingKabal88 - Good idea, but those two weapons look a lot alike. From the size they are in Deception, it'd be difficult to tell them apart.

Not really. One has a jagged side with red flags. The other has a jagged spike coming out with a red flag. What Midway can do is change the colour of one of the flags and call it the(brace yourself, I couldn't think of a better name).......ok....... The Ghost Winged Goose Head. I'm terribly sorry for the name but the idea of using these two swords as a dual combination for Mavado is a good idea. After all the Red Dragon's colour is Red.
