If Noob Smoke is (or are) the sub-boss, then how come they're obviously on the select screen (to the right of Bo Rai Cho)? If they're playable (albeit unlockable), that breaks from MK tradition, and IMO weakens what the sub-boss is supposed to represent: an uncontrolable (and, normally, unattainable) embodiment of brute force. Now, I'm open to a change of image, for example, the tag team is a pretty good idea for a sub-boss, although it's not the same brute force image, but the problem I have is that they are just a playable character. It's kinda like how when Shinnok was a playable character in MK4, it just didn't seem to fit, because he was so toned down from the brutality (not to mention cheapness) of the mighty Shao Kahn.

Boon that crafty fucker said the sub-boss will be playable this time around. He even said there will be more than one sub. Everyone was like yeeeaahh man I hope it Goro, Kintaro and shit. Im very happy with the sub-bosses. Its like a ninja tag-team ass kicking. Ill be doing the ass kicking.

LMAO FOR two reasons
1) you put a spoiler for noob-smoke...cmon lol. lmao
2) the content of your post.... Mk4 had all bosses playable.... MkDA had the two bosses playable
doesnt seem totally unusual

HEhehe... I like a playable sub boss... I do NOT like a playable boss...
I think the thing was that the DK is that character that's 100% force... so they used the 50% force 50% cheap tricks as the sub boss instead of the normal boss...
Plus, I like this because Moloch was ridiculosly hard to beat without cheesing

1) I put up the spoiler warning jsut in case anyone didn't know Noob Smoke was the sub-boss yet, not for the Noob Smoke thing in general.
2) In MK4, Goro was only playable through cheats. That's how it should be, IMO. There's a difference between that and an unlockable character. In MKDA it was stupid that Shang and Quan just played like regular characters; the MK team should have done with them what they did with Noob Smoke.

Who cares if he's playable or not? Sub Bosses/Bosses were playable in MKT, yes?
