The parts about the koffins and the perfect bonus also applied to the GBA version of MK:DA, so if you knew that already, it's nothing new, but if you didn't, you can get the game and try it out as it applies to both DA and TE.

Koffins in DA that can't be bought, but opened after completing a task, are marked with ??? instead of a koin value.

And like in TE, getting that meter filled completely in Test Your Might when you break the object gets you a 1000 Koin bonus.

So if you didn't know these existed in both games, now you do, should you find this extra info useful.

But when you say you can't unlock Reptile with the basic fighters, does that mean you have to unlock everyone and beat the game with them to unlock him, and not just who you start with? I'm confused because DArque's post says you need to beat the game with everyone, so I assume that means everyone, given and hidden.
