I've been to dozens of sites so far about the toning down of fatalities and such. There has been no proof of any of this what so ever. It's all a bunch of BS to get people talking about the game. And MKO has proof. If you saw the vid on the main page and I know you did. Boon himself said the game is done, which means when this story came out about the ESRB and ratings it was too late, Midway had it completed already. So Kotaku (which everyone knows started the rumor) lied. The game was never changed or toned down for ratings.

First of all, he's making perfect sense and YOU didn't mention what sentence to "make more simple"of. Stop trying to act like you can make fun of everyone here, it's not cute.

In regards of the topic I must say this, no one lied. You still have a few more weeks for the game to come out, anything can happen between now and the release date. Trust me, no one would post false information here.
ok lied was a bit harsh. Maybe information was misinformed, so I apologize. But thx for the back up!

Nobody would post false information here deliberately.*

But if Kotaku posts false news on their site (either intentionally or unintentionally,) then somebody posts that news here assuming it's legit, well, that's not beyond the realm of possibility considering it was basically just taken for granted that the secondhand information was correct.

I think ThunderGod_Raiden actually raises a reasonably good point somewhere in there. Granted I can't really see any reason not to believe Kotaku here, but it's still complete hearsay at this stage. Personally I expect that Kotaku's report is correct but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't.

Unless MKO actually contacted Midway to verify this before they posted it as a news story...

Just because a game is finished does not mean that it has been rated.

I would imagine that the ESRB requires a review of the final code before it provides a final rating. So when Ed said the game was complete, that doesn't necessarily mean that the ESRB had gotten back with a final rating. If the game came back with an M, obviously the MK team had to figure out what to remove in order to secure a T.

I don't think Kotaku was lying in this particular case, but it should be noted that they are the ones who started the rumor that the game wouldn't have any Fatalities at all way back when it was first announced, so obviously, their information is unreliable once in a while.

I bet Hans and Hector have seen the "no blood and fatalities are ugly" debates so we might hear about it in the next MKast
I dont think the ESRB works that way where they review a final cut of the game because if that were the case then they could have the entire game done and they tell Midway Hell No you got to change this or that. That would be a big waste of MIdway's time, money and man power to change all they created already, there would be hundreds of lines of code that needed changing if that were the case and the game would take years to complete. I'm sure MIdway has to let them see some kind of draft in sketches or something showing them this is how it's done and get the approval b4 they go ahead for the finished product. To me that makes sense and that's how I would do it and if the ESRB says otherwise the, the hell with them. But if the ESRB is that way and told MIdway that well we say this and now we say this, MIdway is going to get rumped raped eiher way and that's not right.

I just found it really funny how he had said a few noticiable changes. Yeah performing a fatal off screen is NOT just a small noticiable change. I thought it was going to maybe be no blood when he shot the opponent. Any way, these are going to be the most embaressing fatals ever. Man midway's hungry for money.

I really wish that they would make 2 (a "Teen" and and "Mature") versions of this game. Or a blood code or SOMETHING! I mean regardless, I'm buying the game, and playing it till my fingers fall the f*** off. Lol but without the blood and gore it doesn't seem as interesting to me. I wanna see spines get pulled, heads fly, and limbs get removed! That is (to me) what MK is all about!
