I totally agree, I don't think Noob's wearing any goggles either. It looks like he's wearing a ninja mask that covers his mouth and nose area, that mask looks like it's been pulled over after the hood is worn.

I think that the people who said Noob has googles were talking about an earlier image showing Noob being hit by Ermac at a really bad angle. Or they're talking about that band that goes around the back of his head, which appears to actuall be conected to his mask on close examiation.

Noob's new look looks sorta like a cross-bred between a MK-Ninja, Snake eyes, and a stripped back Darth Vader. That said I find it acceptable.

Can anyone post blown up pic of Noob?

If you look at the bright image carefully, you see a glistening line of light/white, near his nose area. Its on the mouth/nose covering of his mask. If you look very carefully and see where his eyes should be, you can see a very tiny, lighter, circular area- his eye. If you follow the other larger glistening line thats supposed to be the head band or "goggle strap", down his face you can see its apart of his ninja mouth covering as well. I dont see any goggles there at all, you have to look very carefully though. Keep looking back and forth from original picture to brighter picture. Try contrasting the brightened picture a tad to make it clearer, maybe that will show it better, because the one I brightened and contrasted, you can make the distinction between his skin around his eyes, his eye, and the rest of his mask, alot better.

he is wearing a ninja face mask... no googles.... just he face is all black and you see he mask wrapping around his face....

what is the html code for posting a pic in this forum? the [img] and [/img] do not seem to work. he is definitely wearing a ninja mask, not goggles. you can see his blue-green eye.

I see the face mask and the 2 small eyes that youre talking about. I think he would be cooler if he had goggles though.

Then we have Humulis's pic which proves it might be really a mask.
Noob in the above pic looks more like the mk4 noob in these pics.





However in this pic, the strap is too high for it to be a mask. They look like goggles here. So I think they may slide off as noob takes damage.

I just want to know where this picture came from. I haven't seen it before this post. Is it new or what? Are there any other new screenshots such as this one?

the resolution of the 2nd noob pic is just too low to get much more detail out of it.

I took the pic and lightened it up. I can not even tell where the face is, if it is there. It is very weird.

as noted, the 2nd noob pis is just too low in resolution to show any detail. the compression stored the blacks pretty much as 1 color and thus no matter how you lighten the pic it just looks like a brighter black blob. the first pic of noob is at a better resolution which is why i was able to soften and seperate the black hues and then add lighting to it. we will just have to wait for more pics to end the silly goggle debate.

Nice. I see his glowing eye even though one could barely make out of it. I followed the lines, and i can tell there not goggles anymore, just his face mask. The lines that are around his upperface makes it look like goggles.

Does anyone else think Noob looks like Snake Eyes from GI Joe?

i can't tell, in some pics looks like he is, then in others looks like he's not.

i think it would be kool if he IS wearing goggles in the final version of the game,

give him a little difference from the other ninjas
