Plz forgive me if I may have missed something but the following is all information that I compiled from kano_fans posts in one easy to read location. __________________________________________________
"Firstly, if I repeat anything thats already been said then I apologize. I just got back in from a six hour drive
and wanted to post everything I could remember.
characters I saw in the prison - I'll just name the ones that I cant remember anyone else mentioning
sareena,rain,reiko,shang tsung,frost and mokap
Now for Noob - Smoke (thats how it appears in the game)
They ARE the sub boss but they dont have their own stage.
They apparently switch the same way that you would switch styles.
Smoke uses Mi Tzu and Noob uses Monkey.
They are very quick and switch styles often which can confuse you as they dont appear from the same side all the
time ( some times they'll teleport kick from the left or run in from the right and vice-versa)
As far as I could tell, they didnt have a weapon stance.
Smokes fatality.
Smoke dissapears and taps the loser on the shoulder,he quickly turns around to see whos there. when he cant see
anyone he gets paranoid and starts looking in every direction to try to see who is poking him.(the sound was too low
but I think smoke move around and pokes him from different angles, whilst still invisible)
As the opponent is still franticly trying to find who is attacking him,his arms get ripped out of his sockets.
The loser staggers for a while, drops to his knees, and just as he is about to fall over, his head is ripped off too.
Kobra's ending.
Firstly, I cannot take full responsibilty for this.
There were a group of us and taking it in turns on story mode, helping eachother out.
I did, however, figure out how to deal major damage to the dragon king.
There are several statues around the edge of the final arena - scaly hands holding glowing artifacts ( I think they
possibly represent the different realms within the MK story) If you destoy one of these, Onaga stumbles to his knees
and is open to attack for a couple of seconds.
With this infomation,we all decided to take it in turns to try and beat him.One of my new friends was able to beat
him.
When you get the winning blow in,Onaga bursts into flames. He burns for a while and then explodes. a few seconds
later, his head drops to the floor. you then get the *character* wins message followed by the FATALITY message!
The screen went black for a loooong while - (we thought that the endings hadn't been put in yet) and then a
"champion" picture came up - similar to the one from DA.(Onaga was lying on the floor all beat up and bloody - with
an eye hanging out!)
The endings ARE the same format as in DA but quite a bit longer - Kobra's had 3 pictures and 5 or six blocks of
text.
anyway here is the ending - it isn't exactly word perfect because it happened over twelve hours ago and I'm getting
tired now...
Kobra is eager to do battle with his enemies but Kabal holds him back telling him to wait for the right time to
strike. When their enemy is weakened from the battle with the dragon king,Kobra is sent into battle. He easily
deafeats them.
Kobra knows that he is going to enjoy being in the Black Dragon.
comments and/or questions please.
my friend pulled off Ermacs fatality by franticly wiggling the stick and mashing the circle button on the ps2 pad.
Ermac levitates his enemy, and then claps his hands forcing the opponent into a ball. He then spreads his arms out
wide focing the opponent to be ripped apart.
Also Bo Rai Cho performed his version of the toasty but instead of lighting the flame by spitting alcohol over it -
he bent over and lit it with.....the power of errm ...wind.
While the loser was rolling around on the floor,Bo was holding his nose, pulling faces and fanning fresh air towards
himself
Dairu performed a fatality where he pulls out a couple of your ribs and then jams them into your eyes.
About the endings - same setup as in DA the pics i can remeber were Kobra doing a flying kick towards the screen -
then a collage of Kabal,Kobra (in the forscreen) and Kira ( further in the distance)
about the statues - I dont think they're essential in beating the DK (we did quite well with the sidestep - jab -
sidetep technique) but they definately help
yup - it ignites the flame - as for the effects on the loser - they roll around on the floor and eventually put out
the flames
the endings are longer with more paragraphs and by the time i got home, about 12 hours had passed
yes its worth buying - the representative said that konquest had about 30 hours gameplay plus the online functions
aswell - and the fact that its MK!
there arent many fights in story mode 8 - 10 at the most
only used bo rai cho once and i hardly used him in DA - Sumo was slow but strong and the other styles seemed pretty
much the same
while i'm here - i dunno if this has been mentioned before but there IS A PRACTICE mode. The button/directions you
press scroll across the bottom of the screen as you pres them - same as most fighters these days.
dragon king moves that i saw were a back - dash that kicks up a gust of wind that knocks you off balance. A straight
forward fireball (from his mouth) and a yoga flame type move - the slam we saw in the video is his throw
noob - smoke had invisibilty(noob) throwing a cluster of darts(noob)teleport attack(smoke) and at one point. my
character choked on the smoke that was left in the air when smoke teleported.
they rely heavily on "tagging" though - and they are extremely fast paced
twistedspine - ermacs rip was horizontal but it was like "theres a ball - now theres a ball split in half" as
opposed to kenshi's stretch/split
twisted spine - while we're talking about ermac using kenshi's fatality,I think i should mention his moves
TK lift
TK pull
a "soul projectile" levitate
1) a "divebomb" move
2)a dart kick like mk 2 - 3 kung lao
so....what the hell is kenshi gonna use as specials?
also - 1 little thing - noobs "get up animation" - he lies on the floor with his arms stretched out and dissolves
into the ground - he then drops down from the sky.
Onagas orbs - you can just side step into them to destroy them
noob - smoke = 1 lifebar. They are treated as 1 character basically with noob/smoke as the fighting styles
(monkey/mi tzu) and only appear together during switches and their victory pose
during the fatality - they are dizzy to start with but, from the moment smoke starts prodding them, they are aware
( btw - i'm not DKF - he was a "clone" i had to put up with for a while (he originally called himself Da_Kano_Fan)
back when i used to post more regularly - some of the "older" members may remember)
Pre DK movie = NO - just starts off with a close up of him roaring ( your character is standing beside him, battle
ready) then the camera just moves back while the DK turns towards your character
special moves = the number varies from player to player - subzero only has the ice clone and freeze moves while
kobra has about 5 moves.
get up animations = they only seem unique if the character falls onto their back
subzero = puts arms back and fires ice towards the ground , the force pushes him back up ( there is no "pillar"
though)
ermac - green energy surrounds him and levitates himself back up - his body is rigid and his heels dont leave the
ground
nightwolf - same as ermacs, but instead of energy, its a green barrier (like the reflect move from MK3)
mileena = gets onto her hands and knees then lets out on angry scream before getting up
ashra = spins quickly ( she's got kung lao's old spin move from MKII and 3 and she spins during her version of the
torpedo - the "get up" something similar)
Yes it definately was sareena in the prison - she looked exactly the same
during attract mode,in between demos, you could see bios of some of the characters - the consoles were ever only
idle long enough for me to see two of the - ashra and subzero (again these will be just sumerized versions)
ashra - used to be one of Quan chi's body guards until she didn't agree with one of his plans. She was cast ouyt and
the other bodyguards were sent to kill her. While she was on the run,she found a blade known as kriss which she used
to defeat her first attacker - as she did,she felt a strange power flow through her - the blade was enchanted, now
with every deamon she slays, she feels that she is being purified.
subzero - *short version* Frosts ending was true but she didnt kill subzero. He decided to give her a proper burial
and took her to the top of an icy mountain - there he discovered an ancient temple.
(funny thing is that after i read that, i played on the prison stage and there she was!)
all previous styles/weapons are basically the same but with fixes/additions
q's about noob - smoke = yes they have 2 icons below the lifebar and yes , you see the styles at the bottom of the
screen. Personally, I dont think they have a weapon - they dont really need one and it would interfere with the
tagging if you had a weapon style in between the 2 fighting styles.
kobra has a difficulty rating of 1 , scorpions is now 2.
baraka does not have the blade fury move
my fave chars so far (no order)
kobra
mileena
ashra
scorpion
baraka
just incase any one goes down there - herees some info.
My friends were talking today and we realised that all the fatalites and the ending were performed on the PS2
version ( there were 4 PS2's and 2 XBOXes) the XBOXes kept freezing and when we asked why, the representative said
"this version is only 80% complete"
those were his exact words.
If you want to play konquest/look at the krypt/kontent you will have to use the xbox version to create a profile
(PS2's had no mem cards)
anyways about the game - to select the alt costume you need to press start, same as DA and i dont think the pic
changed at all but that was on the XB version so that might change
just realised that kabal is missing from my faves list - he doesnt have the ground saw but does have a weird
move....he holds his hands out, they start glowing blue - both characters are pulled together ( as if they were
pulled by scorpions spear0 the bang into eachother , knocking eachother out. When they get up, they have switched
sides of the screen.
FatGuyWithALittleStaff - I'm also hoping that is a re-working of the previously seen fatality. somebody asked about
the fire effect - the fire itself looks ok but the characters dont burn/get charred - they roll around and put out
the flames
Onaga has a taunt - he turns towards the camera and roars at you. When he wins, the text says Onaga wins but the
announcer switches randomly between "Onaga wins" and "The Dragon King wins"
the effect makes like an arc of fire. (Kano in response to a question about kobra's special move)
its similar to MK 4's toasty but better looking - the victim doesnt run around so much though. But all that goes on
in the background as the camera focuses on BO Rai Cho attempting to get fresh air!
no reason was given at all - and noob's bio (noob only - not noob-smoke) actually said that now he has no masters,he
was free to do what he liked and actually show everyone that he is a force to be reconed with ( some one posted this
last week i think)
seraph - unfortunately i think subzero will only have 2 moves - it seemed like the game was finished but needs
debugging.
my friends and i played one player nearly all day long - noob - smoke was always before Onaga
the only other opponents were the other selectable characters
Onaga's moves -
Fireball (shot out of his mouth)
Fire Breath (like a yoga flame or the ogre from tekken)
and a back dash which creats a gust of wind that makes the opponent lose their balance
the move where he lifts you high into the air seems to be his throw.
like any boss he's only difficult until you find out his pattern and weakness.
kabals fighting styles i cant remember, sorry - they were strange sounding.
noob - smoke switch = yeah straight from noob to smoke and then back again ( no third style)
sub zero's moves - i'm positive. I looked at his movelist. Baraka only has 2 moves aswell
darrius styles =
*something* ryu (karate , basically)
leopard
gauntlets (gloves, they had a blade on the top of them that looked similar to fulgore's from KI)
and if anyone can tell me what universal tracking is , i might be able to answer that question aswell
thats right ,yeah. I didnt bother putting the hookswords down because i assumed everybody knew.
oh, somebody asked about Onaga's style..........it was Dragon. It said so at the bottom of the screen . and NO HE
DID NOT SWITCH STYLES
onaga's style being displayed onscreen is , I feel, some more MK humour. He doesn't really look like he's using any
sort of style to me, but it's displayed as that.
The Midway representative confirmed that there are 2 fatalities for each character but didn't even know what a
Hara-Kiri was.......
Jade, Tanya, Li Mei, Kira, Liu Kang and Raiden were locked so,no, I didnt play as/against them.
Ive already posted Subzero's and Ashra's bios. I didnt see any others.
I did watch some of the trading kards in the Kontent section - they were the same sort of thing that IGN have been
releasing. I didnt see anything noteworthy and decided to get back to playing the game instead.
No, I havn't seen another Fatality, Hara-Kiri or Ending - I was only at Gamestars Live for 1 day
One thing I completely forgot about until I was talking to my friends today.
It's only a minor detail and I don't now if its already known...
There is a designated button for picking up stage weapons - L2 on a PS2 pad
I know in the early stages of Deception's development,we assumed that you just scroll through your styles whilst
standing next to it.
might aswell give you the whole layout while I'm here
face buttons = attack 1,2,3,4
L1 = style change
L2 = pick up stage weapon
R1 = block
R2 = throw
1.The character who's style you were currently in stayed onscreen whilst the other one jumped or teleported off
screen depending on who they were.
2.Kobra's ending was placed in a gallery for you to view whenever you want.Thats about all.
Throws that i remember....
Noob - Handstands on the opponents shoulders then comes out of the handstand so that the two characters are back to
back (his hands are still on the opponents shoulders). As soon as his feet hit the ground, he throws the opponent
over his head.
Ermac - throws his opponent into the air(about head height)then strikes them back down with 2 handed downward blow
(he's holding his hands - if you can imagine what i'm trying to say)
Mileena - stands on your shoulders and then jumps up.As she lands back on you,you are forced to the floor.
I cant remember exactly.I only had a quick look.
umm.
characters
arenas
concept/production art trading cards
and an option to listen to the BGM of each stage
they may have been more,i cant remember. (kano fan in response to a question asked about the kontent section)
yes. when I played, the pit was already available in arcade mode ( I went to the 2nd day of Gamestars Live so I'm
not sure if its there by default or if somebody unlocked it the day before) . I unlocked the portal stage within
about five minutes of playing Konquest.
And as a side note, the portal stage and the one with the U/MK3 battle plan towers are in fact the same stage. The
towers are directly opposite the portal.
1 - i took on two missions but didn't complete them. Remember in one of the vids there was a sick man? You have to
find medecine before 8pm the same day.
Also, there was a man who pawned his wedding ring - his wife found out and kicked him out! you had to retrieve the
ring for him ( no time limit was set for that one)
2 - I bought a couple of things - an early render of Noob (it was the one featured in a magazine where he was
wearing black and had "human" coloured skin) and concept artwork of the chess Kombat pieces ( they were regular
pieces carried on goblins backs)
In konquest , some of the treasure chests hold "krypt keys". They are similar to the hints from DA but instead of
using Kurrency, you use these "Keys" to open them. In the first 3 chests I opened in Konquest mode, I recieved keys
for Scorpions Alt(classic look - press start to select it),Bo Rai Cho for Puzzle Kombat and the portal stage.
When you have a key, pressing R1 whilst in the krypt will take you straight to the relevant Koffin.
3 - There was a narrator, but the sound was a bit low - it didnt sound like Raiden though. My friend thought it
sounded like the in-game announcer
4 - I knocked Smoke off the Sky Temple - he was the character onscreen at the time.Dissapointing thing was,he
exploded just like the other characters.
1 - Onaga is a pretty good boss. He's more overwhelming to look at for the first time than any of the other
bosses.Having said that though,I still feel that Khan was and always will be the best boss
Noob - Smoke - They make a good sub boss.I actually dreaded fighting them because they are quick and unpredictable -
the complete opposite of any other sub boss before them.
2 - I couldn't perform a DT on Onaga - Ithink he's too huge.He barely moves back even when you perform a successful
blow.
3 - Onaga didn't perform any fatalities, but he did enjoy DTing you alot - mostly as you are about to win the round.
Stay away from the edge!!
ermacs moves
TK lift TK pull TK projectile
boomerang in UMK3 but green
Float Divebomb TK kick
the only retro stages I saw were the pit and the portal - only the pit had a DT.You could knock your opponent off
any side of the platform. they fell straight into the spikes, they never got caught on the pillars
not all stages have DT's but some have multiple DT's. Theres a cave that had 3 competely different DT's.
BGM - industrial trance and rock mostly along with chinese/japanese influences.A couple of exceptions..
yinyang beach - daytime = steel drums and bongo's(like mario sunshine) at night dark atmospheric MK type music.
falling tower (with crumbling edges) - native american type music with chanting.
IIRC,you can use both analogue and the d-pad
"From what you have seen in one day, what is your overall impression of Deception?"
Its a very good game. All the different modes work well. The graphics and sound have been improved and the gameplay
in the fighting game is much better.Everything seems more polished than in DA
"In your opinion, who do you think the super unlockables will be?"
I have no idea. Although I would like Sektor and Sereena to be 2 of them
"And finally, is their any possible chance of Sektor other than in prison?"
I really don't know but I'm hoping so
"Does the classic pit stage have a pit 2 section or is it completely pit 1?"
It's the pit 1 - you can see the original one from MK1 in the background, too.
"Kano can u play classic stages online if both players have unlocked the stage?"
I would assume so,yes.
"Is onaga cheap like moloch was?"
He does have a nasty habit of DT'ing you just as you are about to beat him.He is a little bit cheap but he's the
boss
"from all the fighting games you've played would you consider MkD one of the better ones?"
Its in my top five.
"1: Can u tell all of us who each and every person is on the charater screen? (If u know)"
I could, but we already knew who the 24 characters were.
"2: Which charaters have u played as?"
scorpion,subzero,mileena,baraka,bo rai cho,nightwolf,kabal,darrius,dairou,ashra,ermac,kobra.
"3: Who did u vs when u were playing arcade or well the storyline."
The characters were random up until Noob - Smoke
"4: Which fatality did u like the best?"
Smokes
"5: Which character did u like the best?"
Kobra
"I've got a question for you though. You said that you were playing story mode just about all day, right? In all
that time, didn't you or anybody else beat the game with somebody other then Kobra? And if so, what were their
endings?"
My friend completed it with Mileena whilst I was getting a burger - I caught the last scene just as it faded away.
I could tell you what it was but do you really want to know half an ending? (kano in response to questions by random
forum goers)
I didnt see any glitches,Characters didnt get back up and stand in thin air nor did they continually fall back, get
up and fall back down again.
Gameplay is smoother now - power ups taunts and impales have gone (nightwolf's arrows are purely cosmetic - they do
no damage as far as I can tell)which add to that fact.
I played the other 3 modes for about half an hour each (i'm gonna spend weeks just playing puzzle kombat - i loved
puzzle fighter) but cant really say anything about them that we didnt already know.
The only alt I saw was scorpions - it's basically given to you after about five minutes of playing konquest ( its in
a treasure chest close to where you start) and we've all seen a picture of it.It looks a lot better in-game though -
even the spear head is a different shape.
Bo Rai Cho was the only character from the fighting games that i interected with. He was always in a dojo (there are
a few in the village you start in)and you have to meet him at a certain dojo at a certain time to have a lesson with
him.
In one of the early vids, you see ermac collect a coin as you walk towards it - that is basicly 2 mins into the game.
stryker was hiding behind some barrels, but as i got closer,he ran away
it had two blades - 2 right angle triangles that mirrored eachother.
the krypt key just said "scorpions alt costume". You selected it in the same way as in DA (pressing start)

i swear i was jus bout to make this thread awww man. well im post "gathered Kano_Fan info" aslo!!

Dairu’s Fatality
Dairu pulls out a couple of your ribs and then jams them into your eyes.
How long is Konquest Mode?
The representative said that Konquest had about 30 hours game play
Dragon King special moves
Dragon king moves that i saw were a back - dash that kicks up a gust of wind that knocks you off balance. A straight forward fireball (from his mouth) and a yoga flame type move - the slam we saw in the video is his throw
Noob-Smoke special moves
Invisibility (Noob) throwing a cluster of darts (Noob) teleport attack (smoke) and at one point. My character choked on the smoke that was left in the air when smoke teleported.
Ermac special moves
TK lift TK pull a "soul projectile" levitate 1) a "dive-bomb" move 2)a dart kick like mk 2 - 3 kung lao
“Get up” animations
Noobs - he lies on the floor with his arms stretched out and dissolves into the ground - he then drops down from the sky.
Subzero = puts arms back and fires ice towards the ground, the force pushes him back up (there is no "pillar" though)
Ermac - green energy surrounds him and levitates himself back up - his body is rigid and his heels don’t leave the ground
nightwolf - same as Ermac, but instead of energy, its a green barrier (like the reflect move from MK3)
mileena = gets onto her hands and knees then lets out on angry scream before getting up
ashra = spins quickly (she’s got kung lao's old spin move from MKII and 3 and she spins during her version of the torpedo - the "get up" something similar)
Ashra’s ending
Ashra - used to be one of Quan chi's bodyguards until she didn't agree with one of his plans. She was cast out and the other bodyguards were sent to kill her. Frosts ending was true but she didn’t kill subzero. He decided to give her a proper burial and took her to the top of an icy mountain - there he discovered an ancient temple.
Throws
Noob - Handstands on the opponents’ shoulders then comes out of the handstand so that the two characters are back to back (his hands are still on the opponents shoulders). As soon as his feet hit the ground, he throws the opponent over his head.
Ermac - throws his opponent into the air (about head height) then strikes them back down with 2 handed downward blow (he's holding his hands - if you can imagine what I’m trying to say)
Mileena - stands on your shoulders and then jumps up. As she lands back on you, you are forced to the floor.
Half of Mileena’s ending
Mileena had finally fulfilled her destiny. She had fooled everyone into thinking she was Kitana. The only person that knew here true identity was Baraka. She lured him into the beetle lair where she fed him to the flesh eating beetles. Now she was free to rule Edenia
The picture I saw had Mileena kicking Baraka into the red glass obstacle in the middle of the beetle lair.
Ying Yang stage information
Ying Yang DT: If you knock your opponents into the water they will be eaten alive by piranhas. And another note: if you get knocked into a tree during light u get hit with a coconut, which makes u dazed.
Weird Kabal move
He holds his hands out, they start glowing blue - both characters are pulled together (as if they were pulled by scorpion’s spear. They bang into each other, knocking each other out. When they get up, they have switched sides of the screen.
Ermac Fatality
Ermac levitates his enemy, and then claps his hands forcing the opponent into a ball. He then spreads his arms out wide forcing the opponent to be ripped apart.
Extra Info
Its a very good game. All the different modes work well. The graphics and sound have been improved and the game play in the fighting game is much better. Everything seems more polished than in DA.

I can't wait much longer. Since it is so close to the release date. the days just drag by they take forever
