Is there anyway for no info on MK6 to get out until the release of the game? Like everything that was in MKDA was out before the game was released... any thoughts?

That's what I really hated about MK:DA. I would'nt even say things were "leaked." A lot of things were just given away, unnecessarily.

There is a way of stuff not to get leaked. In MKDA's case, the info wasn't leaked, it was flat out told to the press, lots of videos were released BY Midway to the press. The thing is that, after MK4's disaster that kind of publicity was necessary (Ok, not THAT much publicity, but more than usual, any way). In this case, after proving themselves by releasing MKDA they don't need to prove anything for people to know the game IS worth buying. Therefore, they should mantain silence until the game comes out. Maybe show some random pictures of a new character or two, not revealing who they are. Maybe even showing an old character revamped, if he is revamped in a way no one will recognize him right away. Only a few pictures, in that style, and if they find the necessity of releasing a couple of videos to show everyone the engine is good, they should release a movie of a fight between 2 characters everyone knows will be in MK6 (like Sub-Zero against Kung Lao, for instance). That way, no one would know much about the game. Also, I'd only like to know the VERY basic aspects of the pre-MK6 storyline, like who's the main vilain. I wouldn't like to know if Liu Kang got back, if Raiden was killed (for example), and stuff like that. Also, whatever they do DON'T RELEASE ANY GUIDES BEFORE THE GAME!!! That was the WORST strategy ever. 2 days before the release date, everyone knew everything about the game...

I agree with Sputnik7...if they show a matchup between two characters, when they show a fatality, they should stop the video before it's finished so they don't reveal too much.

You can't really blame Midway's marketing for dropping info like so much atomic bombs. They needed to hype the game as much as possible. Since the last 2 had been on a steady decline. That is why the outpour of information.

It raises an idea in my mind. How about, they give you the option of what you want as the start page. In case some people don't want news. I have some ideas for some other options.

I do hope that they hold the cards closer to themselves this time. Because, they reestablished the fan base. Time to wow us.

Like a sparkler...
