Interactive backround ideas?

Any suggestions? Maybe they might include some of the ideas that are shown in the krypt..like using the side to jump at ur opponent.
Didnt they consider incorperating the side of the arena breaking when a player was knocked against it a number of times?
Maybe it would hav been good if u could actually move more freely around the backrounds....For example one of the levels had a large stair case...could hav been to fight up along them and reach a new area

maybe you fight in an arena that has an audience all around the ring. it is an audience of fighters and combatants. and when u get to close to the edge, the audience attacks u and pushes u back towards the center. kinda like a skoolyard rumble! that might take alotta graphix and memory or whatever it is they use.

How about something similar to the armory stage in MKII or MKIII (cant remember which one.). It would be cool to knock enemies through weapon racks, or maybe even pick up a battle axe or a sword to use on your own.

Or maybe a multi tiered level. A basic one would have a staircase, and two levels. You could knock an enemy down, run up a flight of stairs, and jump on top of them while their getting up.

Or maybe that old chinese ship that was in the movie. You could go through certain deck, or knock an enemy off the top of the mast.

I hope they bring back the Mk3 old style. Hitting characters to another levels was so much fun!

I like the school yard rumble idea...

What about being able to grab your opponent and bash their head on the floor or wall :D

I think that for like a stage Fatality they should have The winning player lift the loser onto a spkie ridden wall and stab them in multiple areas

How about somethin similar to the final fight in gladiator....whereby,there could b several creatures in each corner...maybe oni denoms...one could b somethin similar to moloch...maybe a centaur...if u could make a goro like creature in another corner...and maybe a dragon in the last corner....each one would b chained to the floor so there will b a certain distance they could travel...if u happened to get knocked into that corner..they would give u a pasting..then throw u back...This could b based in a huge arena...or at the bottum of a pitt,with the crowd chantin at the top throwin rubbish down and other objects

that would be sooooooooo dope if they did that with the four sub-bosses from each game in the four coners. Thats the best idea i have heard for a new stage so far.

How about as the time goes down somethin happens in the stage,somethin similar to super smash bros.For example if it was the pitt idea with the four creatures in each corner,then their chains would get longer as the time runs down.Or in the volcano level in deadly alliance,the lava could rise so that u hav to move up and reach different areas...and u also hav to make sure u dont get knocked down.Or how about a cementry level,whereby rottin creatures surrounding the arena slowly claw their way out of the ground...somethin similar to zombies u see in resident evil...and when u first start the fight there wont b any creatures around...during the middle there might b a few..so if u get knocked out u still hav a chance of avoiding them...but by the end the arena u can b surrounded by hundreds of flesh eating zombies trying to get at the fighters but they r being held back by somethin around the arena...but if u happened to get knocked out...u will get ripped to pieces by the mob.There could also b a few familar faces in the crowd...past warriors...maybe u might get to fight one as a secret character...This should b done in a really imprevisive way with loads of animations,possibly some of the zombies fightin..or runnin at the arean and gettin obliterated by the spell keepin them back.

and when the zombies hit the arena surrounded by some sort of spell..all that makes it through is their blood as they explode...so when ur in the third round coming to the climax of the fight..the music will b reaching its climax...u can also hear the moans of the hundred zombies all around...and all u can see in ur arena is blood blasting in from different spots.Making the floor red so that as u walk around there could b a cool liquid effect..so when ur player hits the ground..blood splashes everywhere..and covers ur player.This could b a good arean,that could b really tense near the end of the fight.

nice ideas man. but maybe instead of flesh eating zombies, its flesh eating Oni. and instead of a graveyard, its like the 13th plane of the netherrealm. u can have the surrounding oni audience (similar to my idea) and have the 4 huge monsters in each corner. that might be alot were askin for tho

I think it would be sweet if there was like a brick wall and you could get thrown through the wall to a different room. If there was stuff on the floor like wood or rocks you could throw it at your opponent.

Sorry if some one already said those ideas I didn't read them all.

Two words:

Pit Bottom.

It would be cool if you could toss the bodies in the pit bottom at opponents, or break of spikes and use them like daggers.

Well I'd like a lot for interactive backgrounds such as being able to destroy many parts of the backgrounds such as walls, ceilings, the ground and other stuff. I liked what they did in MK4 where you could pick up rocks and stuff and throw them at the opponent. How about when two fireballs collide and they explode? That would be awesome and it could be useful or harmful depending on position and other factors. I would like to be able to destroy environments, but it might also be cool if secret characters came out very quickly from behind and attacked you and/or your opponent. I have other ideas, but I'll talk about them later.

Well, my idea is a little different...it does'nt effect gameplay as much, but rather visual-wise.
My idea has to do with the weather, different climates, and how they interact with the stages, and the characters.

Let's say that it's thundering and lightening in a certain environment. A bolt of lighting could strike a building in the background, making it tumble over. Or let's get even more personal and have it hit a statue and knock it over--you are also able to get hurt by the falling statue, if you are standing in the right spot.

If it's raining, the ground could begain to form some rain puddles, and the character's skin, hair, and clothes could appear to be wet. Or, if the character is in a hot environment, his or her skin could glisten with sweat. And, if it is really windy outside, like a tornado, for instance, the character's hair and clothes could blow really fast, in the wind (like what they did with Virtua Fighter 4). This really get's you into the game.

...just some ideas

How about a level in the middle of a battle field?You could b fightin in the middle of a war torn city.All around you there could b the dragon king's undestructable army fightin a resistance.There would b overturned cars on fire,dead bodies all around,bullets pingin past you as the humans fight a lost cause.At different stages in the fight different thins could happen.Right at the end there could b a charge across the screen from the dragon king's army, with battle screams and there weapons in the air,maybe an explosions sendin some of them flying.The level could b interactive,as u could send ur opponent throught the air,smashing through a building's glass pane,sliding across the floor into a new area of a company building.Or maybe launching them up into the air and landing them down on one of the wrecked cars,with the cars windscreen shattering and its alarm goin off.So that u get a sense of real damage being caused.Maybe u could use a powerful attack to launch ur opponent into a small building with the building collapsing around them,with them emerging out of the rubble to fight on,somethin similar to the fights u get in dragon ball z,whereby they wreck the surroundings around them.

How about a stage where U start out in a room similar to The Throne room stage from MK1 (Where shang sits in the background and claps at the end of the round) and have a stair way that leads to "The Pit" or a stage similar and at the end of the round knock the person off and have the effect of MK 2 with the sky view except when the land they land on spikes like MK 1. or have a stage like "Kahns Arena" from MK 2 and as time wears down....the boss (who ever it is) gets impatient and hits both characters with an attack so the round could end...
