Internet play does nobody seem to care?
for years I have play online fps reading pcmags just waiting to here news of an online fighter. Funny thing tho, nobody even seems interesed. what is more fun: playing with a friend or playing against the cpu? Im getting old (25) and it is hard to find someone to come over and let me beat there @$$ all over the place like I did back in the day. My freinds are sick of takeig a licking. plus with the lose of arcade play you lose the wow factor of seeing some cool stuff that you would have took you a long time to see if you did ever seeit. <50% scorp combo mk2>
You guys play mk and if you been playing as long as me your friends are getting married and not playing mk so what do you do?
ANYWAY, the mk team is very ballsey and they will try new things but you got to show some interest. mabee im pissing in te wind but I would preorder my copy 3 months in advace if I finally get an online fighter. any thoughts?

25, old, LOL
. Online play is a must for a game that has such competative potential. Two things a I hate about DA
1.) Lack of depth, though still has strong potetential - really, just think about it.
2.) Not in the arcade; IE, lack of comp, which translates into one useless fighter.
Im all for online play.

i think the reason not many ppl r interested in mk netplay, is not everyone has the facilities to support it. obviously broadband is a must of a net fighter. just look @ snk vs capcom 2 on x-box, people r still complainin about the lag issues. im positive oneday an mk game will get online, but mk6 wont b it.

The thing is that fighting games online can be a real pain if they're not used carefully. I mean, if I'd have to wait for the User List to appear, select someone, then fight 2 rounds, then have to go back to the User List loading, it would be awful. For fighting games to work online, someone has to come up with a method to make them work, like Leagues or something, where you sign up, the League has a duration (1 week, 2 weeks, a month, etc.), and you have to make like 2 fights per day, or else you would be disqualified (DQ) from the League. Also, quitting during a match would also grant you a DQ. Also, the organizer of the MK Server could organize Tournaments once in a while, in which we would get free NKK (Net Kombat Koins) which we could use to buy special stuff (either real, like memorabilia and other merchandise, or virtual, like extra level updates). In that Tournament, they would have a way of knowing if someone that would quit during a match had done it on purpose or if it was due to a problem in the communication (that wouldn't be applied in Leagues as those wouldn't be modded). You could create a League whenever you wanted, as long as you got 2 players for it. Also, you could only belong in like 2/3 Leagues at once.
This is just an idea, I don't even know if most of this stuff is possible. My point is that someone has to design a plan, like that, plus the way to make it come true. The thing is that right now, I prefer that the MK Dev Team devote their time and efforts to develop cool stuff, some nice characters and some better secrets than to finding a good online system, which could fail, wasting their (very valuable) time.

Online internet gameplay is not going to happen with MK6 or any other MK fighting games anytime soon anyway , not until they perfect the system and that could take years.
Besides , less than 50% of gamers worldwide are capable of taking advantage of the online gaming experience and the other 50% have limited options and games available for online capabilities.
Even with a T1 ( cable connection it would be costly as well.

I think MK6 will be online the developers already said they were taking into serious consideratio. If they made MK6 online that would outstanding. It would give u that old feeling of excitement of playing someone you don't even now except it wont be in front of all kinds of people. Which made me really nervous.

First off, you have to be pretty dumb to not realize that this thread was made even before MKDA came out.
You also have to be pretty dumb to not realize that MKDA was not an online game and is a stupid example to use.
You have to be really dumb to search through countless pages of the forum to find a thread thsi old and bring it up to point out information "from the future" to users who have probably not even visited the site since this thread was made.
I'm glad to see that you, noob626, are obviously a real genius on this site though and can be a shining example for all of us. Take these Skull Points as a reward.
I strongly suggest you read the Community FAQ before you post again.
