I am going to attemt to get on XBox Live for the 1st time ever with MK:D. My dilemma is that I would have to relay wires and punch holes through my floor/wall in order to get an ethernet wire down there...
However, I have an idea that might work, depending on what ya'll say: I'm thinking since I have a wireless router and a laptop that uses it wirelessly, I can just connect the laptop to the internet in my basement (where the XBox is) wirelessly, THEN hook an ethernet wire connecting to the laptop and the XBox!!!
Would this work for me?? If not, then I think it's gonna take a long time to get MK:D online :(
Thnx for any help :D

you need a cross over which mean wire 1 and 3 on one end are switch and 2 and 6 on the same end are switch so it would be like this
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 <---- one end of cable
3 6 1 4 5 2 7 8 <---- other end of cable
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 <---- one end of cable
3 6 1 4 5 2 7 8 <---- other end of cable

Just do what I did, WIRELESS GAME ADAPTER! Linksys has one, it is good. go to pricegrabber.com You should find good prices there.

Ok...so basically connecting through the laptop as I specified above won't work? If so, then is it true that my options are:
1) The wireless game adaptor the guy above recommended (even though its 50$ :P)
2) Buying a new router and bringing a new Ethernet cable all the way downstairs by drilling holes through my floor/wall.
Is this all I can do?? Tell me what I should do :(
[btw-first repsonder, I didnt understand what you meant by the 1,2,3, etc method]
Thanks!
