Reptiles body was twisted and transformed. It never stated that Reptile IS the DK. Reptile isnt the DK, as we'll be seeing soon enough.

Maybe Reptile is the DK I don't know, but according to someone who works for the printing company of the strategy guides says that Reptile is NOT the DK, and he is one of 6 super unlockable characters (ported from MKDA) along with: Kitana, Seerena, Cyrax (not Sektor), Shang Tsung, and Quan Chi! They will only have 1 Fatality from MKDA , except Seerena will have Scorpion's Arm Rip Fatality, and will have same moves/fighting styles; nothing said abt. endings though!
