So, i just think that the story about the amulet is getting pretty old....wat do ya think....maybe they shud invent somethin like rayden getting it back and hiding it, or maybe maybe makin him evil??? i dunno, they need to come up wit somethin

The amulet idea old? It's only been mentioned in DA... you should have said something about them changing Scorpion's story, if you're going to complain about a stroy getting old.

I think it is since, the person that has the amulet is in control of Dragon King's army of dead soliders.

The rundown is this:

The AMULET was created by the Elder Gods and kept in a very safe place. It could be used to travel in between realms and also give the user mass power. It could only be created ONCE.

Shinnok stole the amulet so that he could travel to Earthrealm and keep the other Elder Gods out so he could conquer it. Raiden defeated him, and took the amulet from him. He created the Temple of Elements and put the amulet deep deep inside of there. He put Fujin and the Gods of Earth, Fire, and Water in there to be in charge of it. To protect it.

Eventually, Quan-Chi had Sub-Zero (Old) break into the Temple of Elements and defeat them all so that Quan-Chi could steal the amulet for himself. However, Quan-Chi had other plans and he created an EXACT duplicate of the amulet and gave it to Shinnok while he secretly still had the original. So, when Sub-Zero stole it back, he just stole a duplicate, fooling even Raiden and the other gods. Quan-Chi still had it, he was simply waiting for the right time to use it.

He created another duplicate and gave it to Shinnok, claiming he had found it. However, the duplicate's false power ended up being Shinnok's fall and he fell to Liu Kang (or Raiden).

Quan-Chi had other business and found that Scorpion was about to destroy Sub-Zero and figuring he could do it himself, told Scorpion he had in fact murdered his family and tried to send him to the Netherealm. Instead, Scorpion dragged him there with him. The AMULET would not allow Quan-Chi to escape for some reason and he was left there....

However, Drahmin told Quan-Chi about a gateway that looked like the amulet. It turned out that was the gateway out of the Netherealm. ALl you needed was the AMULET. So Quan-Chi escaped and found himself in the Dragon King's Tomb.

He got a plan when he found out that in order for the undefeatable army to obey a master other than the DK, they needed the amulet. Quan-Chi had it and the rest is history or for MKD to fill in blanks.

But the amulet turns out is more than just a tool for transporting through realms....it can perhaps hold the key to holding the furies together maybe?

it wud be cool if like right after MKDA, Rayden hides the amulet again but the DK is still able to control his army....so, rayden sends someone to go get the amulet back, and the DK does the same, and once the two messengers arive where the amulet is, they get in a fight and the good one wins...then he takes it back to Rayden so now, there wud be 2 strong armies and that cud kinda lead to mk7, the final war.......or the person that gets the amulet can deceive Rayden and keep it......theres alot that can be done

Actually, Moloch and Drahmin led Quan Chi to some mystical heiroglyphs that unlocked the secrets to the Rune Stone imbedded in the Amulet, which, in turn, revealed the secret to using the long-forgotten portals through the realms. Without that knowledge, Quan Chi wasn't able to open a portal out of the Netherealm himself and get out.

Also, since the Amulet was so hard to create in the first place, it's highly unlikely that Quan Chi would make more than one duplicate of it. The one that Elder Sub-Zero reclaims from Shinnok and he eventually gets back was, most likely, the same fake amulet that Quan Chi made.

And, it was Shang Tsung who came up with the idea of making the DK's army follow only the one holding the amulet, and he kept that knowledge from Quan Chi, since he was planning on ditching the sorcerer after the army was fully raised.

Still, it remains a viable power sorce for the forces of evil, and, as such, would play a big part in Deception, especially since the Dragon King now needs it to control his army.

The dup amulets where exact copies in terms of looks, not power. I seriously doubt that the gods had trouble making a simple peice of metal to look like that. A god should be able to do that wihtout even thinking about it. It was the power within the amulet that was difficult to create. So really, as long as you're not duplicating the power of the amulet, it should be rather simple to recreate an exact-looking replica, then give it some decent amount of power. Enough to show, if need, that it does infact have some. Which again shouldn't be to hard for a scorcer of Quan's power.

That would be true, if it was not a magical amulet. Since Raiden and Shinnok are both gods, they'd be able to sense the magical energy of *any* object or person, if not tell what kind of magic it is. Since the fake amulet fooled both of them, Quan Chi had to make it so that it gave off the same magical signature that the real amulet produced, without actually having that same power. Since the power inside the real amulet was so difficult to create, making a fake amulet that only mimicked the energy signature of the real one perfectly would be equally difficult, if not more so. I doubt that, even with the power of the real amulet, Quan Chi would be able to create multiple fake amulets. He's only a sorcerer, a mortal. It would put too much strain on his body and magic to create more than just the one fake amulet.
