Maybe I'm wrong, but I was always under the impression that Mileena was kind of a shapeshifter, since she was created by Shang Tsung. Her true face is the ugly, scary one, but she can change her appearance to look normal, or to look like Kitana.

Actually, I still view them as the twins, even though you are right, they look nothing alike anymore. But after so many games, (Mk2, Mk3, MKU. MkT, MkG) Im happy about this.

Mileena’s look is fantastic! Since day one I fell in love with her style, and I hope they plan to keep her as distant from Kitana as possible.

Mileena has finally emerged as the ultimate female of the 3 “twin” ninjas. I hope she stays like that.

I think you can still see similarities between the two.

With that said, Mileena has the prettiest eyes in the deception renders.

I know, i dont mind that both of them have different outfit but its just that, after looking at them at the same times, somehow they both look different. theres eyes, body, face (with the mask on) they look different, like they are not identical at all. (hair style doesnt count). im glad that they have there own identity and unique style, but they both are twins or clones of each other, shouldnt they both look alike?

I always to the Mileena was the younger one! anyway they do like alike a little bit... however if you compare Kitana from MKDA and Mileena from MKD. I think that Kitana looks taller than Mileena or I could be wrong though...

I think they do look alike...I'm an identical twin, and i can look different from my brother if i want to, but i can also look exactly the same. I think they are trying to make them more distinctive as individuals, like Queve said, and if Kitana was in this game, maybe her look would have been slightly different from MK:DA, and a little bit more like Mileena's.

The mask thing has always been one of my favourite features in MK...it's kinda like having a uniform for Kitana and Jade, and Mileena wears it to look like Kitana and to hide her secret. It sorta reminds me of the Queen Amidala decoys in Star Wars episode one...but i may be obsessed!

That makes no sense. In MK2, Kitana just finds out Mileean is really her clone and before that she thought she was her sister. If Mileena was created just before MK2, then why would that be a surprise to her?

It is never been officially stated when Mileena was created. But for Kitana and Mileena to both believe they were sisters until Kitana found out the truth which was before MK2 took place, logically Mileena had to have been born a long time ago.

We might see an alt. costume in MK:D for Mileena without a mask.

At Mileena and Kitana's early stages, of course they would almost look identical. We're well into the future now and now they're not new characters anymore, they've grown and obviously taken their own appearance.

Awesome. I REALLY THINK you should change your thread title. Add something that tells people “Is Mileena really the youngest fighter of MK? 6-10 years old!” Many people will come and be interested in the subject.

Well, tell that that the story-creators.

How do you think Kahn made Kitana think what he wanted? He erased all memories Kitana had of her childhood and made her believe she was his daughter.

When he realized she would never truly love him, he decided to create a perfect clone of Kitana (Kitana was an adult at this age). Mileena was then, the result of Tsungs sorcery.

Shao Kahn could never love Mileena, he could trust her, not love her.

This info, thanks to the comic of “Kitana and Mileena”.

By the time Mileena was created, Kitana was an adult. I seriously doubt Mileena and Kitana were both living the same childhood (imagine baby Mileena walking around naked with no mask).

Kitana didn’t even know Mileena was a clone, remember her Mk2 ending? This leads me to believe she never saw her face without the veil. It was a surprise because she had been raised with the idea Kahn was her father, and Mileena her life-twin.

Now, if you don’t want to believe this, fine, but it is logical that Mileena is the youngest one of the 2. Mileena was created after Kitana, this makes Kitana the oldest. And when we base all the perfect source on info in that comic, it makes sence Mileena is the youngest fighter ever.

But that story is all well and good but doesn't the first movie say that Kitana is like a thousand years old. So mileena being younger wouldn't mean didly

Yeah, Kitana is thousand of years old, but we dont know for sure if Mileena was created during Kitana's childhood, or in an adult stage (more likely).

If Kitana is still 10,000 years old, then Mileena is way younger.
