I do believe it is. Guess he's lost his punch, but it seems strange that such a veteran would just drop out of a game so lack-lusterly... just something I observed. Thoughts on this? And, sure, shoot the 'he's a super-unlockable' if you feel so compelled to. Fatality.

Well, I know he was "dead", but they kept him for Ultimate MK3, didn't they? I guess, if you want to get technical, yes, he wasn't in MK3. Or, if you want to get even more technical, he IS in MK:D and you can fight him and fight as him (thank you, lucky Codebreaker.) Ah, who am I kidding? No one is never in an MK game. They're ALWAYS there... somewhere. Fatality.

No, he wasn't in UMK3. So, not even being technical, MK3 was the first game he was not in.

Yeah, he wasn't in MK3. They told a story how he was killed by Shao Kahn's extermination sqauds when he invaded Earth. In the graveyard stage he even had a tombstone in the backround. For MK Trilogy they said that with souls being obsorbed and the natural law of the afterlife being out of whack, he was able to re-enter his body and he lived again. Thus he was able to be in Trilogy, MK4/Gold, and MK: DA

Yeah, he wasn't in MK3 nor UMK3, I don't even remember seeing him as a cameo.

I concede. I was confusing my games. There was MK3, Ultimate MK3, and MK Trilogy. EVERYONE was in Trilogy. *sigh* Oh well. Fatality.

i think they pulled a macguyver and fused sonya and johny cage and a dash of kano to make kobra...hes totally bad ass in his alternate....hes one of my favorites...im undefeated with him online and off.....i think they did good with this...he has sonyas kali sticks...johnys double flip kick and martial arts style moves...and kano's heart rip fatality and hara kiri...he rocks...they should have given him a flame kick to be like the shadow kick tho...other than that...hes a kick ass char..

Yah..
If you wernt a huge fan of mk that could get a bit confusing.
This is a bit of topic but i was hoping they would make a deception type of trilogy game..
With all the characters in mk:da and a few other old characters..
a expansion per sa for mkd
wow

I agree. He was good in MK and MKII, but his "actor-who-helps-saves-the-world-then-makes-a-movie-out-of-it" ploy was one-note and got very boring after that. Dare I say, Midway should have kept him dead? But, as we all know, that doesn't happen, does it. Fatality.

Well Midway will probably make a fresh idea if he's in mk7 like they did for Scorpion for this one. And anyways is Sub-zero the only person who has been playable in every mortal kombat game?

Yeah, Subby is the only one who has been in every game, but even then only technically, because at first it was the older brother, who later turned out to be Noob, and then later it was the younger brother. So, technically, no one has been in every single MK game.

No this isnt he was out of MK3
Ult.MK3.I hope he is some how
a unlockable.I will always be
a die hard cage fan.I for one
will never get tired of his story
line.Action movie star saving the day
an all. Then becoming more famouswith
a new movie perfect. That is truly better than
some ninja turtle story line any day.
They need a mk with no ninjas. That
would be the best.
