That means it could be a prequel, like MKT kind of was to MK3.

It could mean alot of things.

A prequel to take place before MK5(deadly alliance). Or take place before mk1.

Or it could be in the sense that, it is a sequal in reguards to the next mortal kombat, MK6, but not in the reguards of another Deadly Alliance. So not Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance 2.

I think it will be a game with another subtitle something like. Mortal Kombat 6 (subtitle).

Yes, it could mean lots of things, but he meant it as a not MK6, as he actually denied the use of the term MK6 in that phrase. But after that, one other member said it would be a real MK6, a MKDA sequel. What I do believe it's that they have in their plans (maybe after MK6) to make a prequel or a Trilogy sort of game. Maybe even a DECENT 3D adventure game.

Well it could be a prequel explaining the origin and story of the dragon king.... that could shed some light on his time of his time of reign, how shao kahn rose to power, how powerful would the dragon king be once he came back and what he was before.... or something of that nature..

The way it was said, I think Boon meant that it will not be a sequel to Deadly Alliance. He said it would come next chronogically I believe though. So it will be MK6, not MKDA2.

Im with TK on this one. I think it will do what nearly all the other mortal kombat's have done, base the story apon the previous installments while creating sorta another saga.

Its still MK6. They cant change the number, it'd mess up the MK videogame timeline,lol. So its still gonna be called MK6. Or it will be called MK Deception, without the 6,lol. It'll be like a continuation. It doesnt mean its gonna be a prequel. The name of the game is Deception, thats Ed Boon's job, to throw us off.

Its a sequel cause Boon says it takes place RIGHT after MKDA ended.
