I hate Jax period. I'd love to see him get killed off in the intro of MK6 instead of putting him in the game just to kill him off in the ending. Eh wishful thinking.

Jax was the definition of blacksploitation in MK5. I'm not even black and he offended me. I mean lets get real here... all the stuff he says, and his alt costume...

They do need to change Jax if he's in the next game. I liked him a lot the way he was before. I think his arms should be able to change into weapons like in part 3. That was cool.

That's the thing too. They'll keep bringing him back just to have a black person in the game. I liked him before. But when he started using the slang in MK:A, MK:SF, and now MK:DA, it's just too much. Either kill him off, never mention him again, or change him completely. When I first saw his alt costume, I actually wished they just kept the purple spandex for him.

I know, I hate the way he talks. Most male characters just mumble and have the same voice.

Well thing is that I only really liked Jax in MK2. He had that whole military official type of look to him and he didn't have the bionic arms or technological projectiles. I think Jax should get killed off by someone like Mavado since Jax killed Hsu Hao in Jax's ending. (it probably did happen but if it does, I'm just saying..) He's improved a lot as a fighter in MKDA and I like his military outfit, but I really didn't like his alternate outfit too much. It's just not....Jax. Anyway, his storyline is kinda stale and has been that way after MK3 so I think it's time for him to go, or his character could evolve into something more.

I agree with those who said Jax has becom kinda "ghetto" with the slang and alt costume...he should be more of a dignified military kinda guy. I'm not a big Jax fan, but I think he should stay in the game, and have a deeper story line, not just be Sonya's bitch. And ditch the gun. It just doesn't make sense in MK.

jax has to return imo. take a look at him in mk4 he looked like noble fighter with a solid style. they simpley 'blacked him up' too much in mk5 (not to be racist or anything).if they were to 'unblack' him a few steps back to his mk4 glory then re-add those sweet arms, how could you not want him back? if bringing jax back as 'villan' is what it takes then so be it-all he needs is another chance...AND LOSE THE BLOODY GUN!

OMG...that could be a reason, BUT from what everyone has posted here, NO ONE never went to be raceist. Jax IMO is a very cool character, and I would like him back, but the reason people dislike him is NOT CAUSE HE IS BLACK, but for they are kind a bored with his storyline.

There is alot more to Jax's stereotype in the game, just look and you will see them. These are the worng guys to talk to about this subject. Yeah, how exactly is it racist? I like Jax, I like his styles and I even like the bionic arms. I just think the MK5 version of him is blacksploitation at it's best. It just seemed that they wen't overboard trying to make him more black. He's supposed to be a major. I'm in the air force and I can tell you right now, he would not be talking like that.

I don't mind Jax - In fact, I kinda like him. However, I think he looked the best in MK2, and it's only gone downhill from there. I thought the robot arms were of the worst new things in MK3, (almost as bad as turning a chinese ninja into a half-naked caucasian) but I can accept them. I agree that his storyline could need some kind of update, but making him go bad just wouldn't make any sense, in my opinion.
I'd say Jax should stay in MK, but preferrably coming across as a bit more serious... I'd also like him to look more like in MK2, except for the spandex pants, and if they feel a need to continue using those ridiculous metal arms, they could at least make them look decent.. like in MK:A. (I might be only one who thinks they actually looked good, but feh)
