Just got X-Arcade Solo stick...

posted04/16/2003 12:59 PM (UTC)byKonqrr...and I have to re-learn MKDA o_O
I'm not used to where the buttons are and keep blocking when I want to switch styles and vice versa...once I get used to it, it's going to rock!
It's kind of like using those damn black and white buttons on the X-box controller.
I now know what this game would be like at an arcade

Konqrr,
Nothing beats going to the arcade to whoop some ass (although sales show otherwise), but I always used to wish that they made ports on the arcade machines to plug in a SNES (at the time) controller just cause I think using a 'D-pad' is easier than a stick.
Just my opinion though...

It's a tad bit pricey, that is about the only reason someone shouldn't get one.
The stick is made for use with your computer for programs like MAME, but they have adapters so you can use it on console systems like Gamecube, X-box, Playstation 2, and Dreamcast.
I got the stick with an adapter of my choice for $100, then I added another adapter and a USB adapter for my PC for a total of $150 or so.
You can't use two Solo Sticks with the same adapter yet, the Solo Stick is relatively new and they are developing a splitter now.
Other than that, it is great and I can't wait until I get my new computer so I can play MAME/Z-SNES online
Getting better now, I can land Kenshi combos...heh

*cs *3 *blank *4
