Key to getting back into the village in Earthrealm

If anybody recalls the map that Kabal told you to hide in the temple in Chaos, the map clearly states that there is a DIRECT portal from Chaos to Earth. I'm guessing that this portal, if anybody is able to find it, will send you directly to the village within Earth Realm.
One peice of proof that tells me that it is possible to get back into the village is a note I have to deliver to Sub-Zero. The note says: "Deliver this to Sub-Zero in the Earthrealm". Well, Sub-Zero is in the village.

after you take the map to the ruins mokap asks you for a map to earthrealm and subby is with the other lin quei in earthrealm not in town you train with him after you get bo rai chos medallion

You have a possible point but since you cant really read it and most people know the realms top too bottom not sure where it would be used. Having it on you while going through Kochals portal maybe? Sub Zero is in the south part of the map at the training area not in the village, those are just his person's in his clan.

Hmmm, well I recall for sure Sub-Zero standing somewhere i nthe village when I very first started Konquest
