mmmm,i think of her name....Khameleon,chameleons are known for changing colors to mix with the environment not to be seen,this makes them somewhat "invisible" to the eye or if you like to call it "transparent",i think that's the reason behind Khameleon beeing transparent.

Time limit perhaps? Maybe it was more important that they got the motion controls working properly as opposed to designing a character based from a grey female ninja.

And if you look it as if Chameleon and Khameleon are Shao Kahn's most strongest warriors, it would make sense for them to have a similar uniform.

This is why we need bios. We know next to nothing about what 2/3 of the characters are doing in this game.

I think the reason that Midway didnt care is because they didnt realize that people actually gave a fuck about these characters. The only reason that Cham and Kham are in the game is because people constantly bitched about them not being in it. I honestly dont understand why it really matters. they arent that important to the MK Universe

Its mainly because Khameleon sucks.

They were joke characters who pretty much were filler for home consoles back in the MKT days. The MK team didn't even want to put em in this time. I imagine they don;t care at all about them, and we'll thankfully never see the Chameleons again. They're presence really messes up Reptiles and the entire Zaterra sub plot.

for example also sheeva,kintaro,goro and Motaro are some of the deadliest shao kahn warriors.
Fuirst off exclude motaro because he is a centaur.
sheeva,goro and kintaro are smilar but not identical as Khameleon and Chameleon.
The only reasons are:only few months of time and unoriginality.
it's 50% fault of both thing.

I believe Khameleon represents the revival of the Zatteran race, seeing that she and Reptile are able to reprobduce.

That is probably why she's in the game, for the "return" of her people.

Chameleon, on the other hand, is simply another Hidden Character.

Well, this is awkward. I'm one of the only "Meleon" fans on the planet and actually like the way both characters turned out (Excluding Chameleon's ending.). I think Khameleon was made to look the way she does by design, not by circumstance. I doubt MK was so pressed for time that they had to half-ass an exlclusive character. The way I see it, the Meleons turned out the way they did either because the MK team didn't like them in the first place and/or as a reference to their old attires in which they'd blink different colors. I think another reason for why Khameleon turned out like her male counterpart is because they share the same name and gimmick so why not?

I like how these two turned out and that they're being included. I think their costumes are pretty kool and give them identities (Sort of...) while still serving as nice references to the old days (Which is why I'm surprised so many people are against them.) Sure, the MK team didn't make them but their abscence would have made a liar out of MK Armagedon (And to some extent, it still is but it's a dismissable extent.).

Honestly, I expected Khameleon to look the way she does, simply because of her name, like what reptile88 said.

I didn't know the MK team didn't like the characters. If they didn't like them, why did they spend extra time putting them in the games? Its all backwards really....Khameleon, who had a story, is left out, until fans got upset, so she was put into the Wii version. Chameleon, who didn't have a story, was put in, but we still have no bio as to what he is doing in there.

The resemblance of Chameleon and Khameleon to each other makes sense though. Not everyone who has played Armageddon knows that these two were characters back in the day. I think the MK team will come up with bio's that will connect all three characters. They can't come out with Chameleon's bio, then release Khameleon's bio and expect for people to understand why they have on the same clothes with the same jewelry on them, and the same transparent skin, if their bio's don't have something in common.

The clothes that they both wear, for all we know, could be traditional clothes of the Zaterra. Chameleon himself could be a Zaterra, we just haven't found out yet because we have no bio. Or better yet, Chameleon and Khameleon could be the same character. If one can disguise themself to be another warrior, why couldn't they do the same to resemble the opposite gender?

A lot of people seem to have not noticed that unlike Chameleon, Khameleon has a faint outline of transparent scales. Look closely at her skin, and you'll see that there are some slight square-shaped designs on the less transparent parts of her arms, legs, and chest. Chameleon's skin looks smooth, so they did take into account that we all know that Khameleon is Zaterran.

Maybe Khameleon is a biracial. Maybe she's related to both Chameleon and Reptile, whose races are probably sworn rivals. That could be a good story... right?

chameleon is soo saurian, they even gave him green blood in mka, but even at that he might not be, but there doing a good job at making people think he his.

Maybe the semi-transparent skin is independent of the fact that she's Saurian? Maybe she's a different variation of Saurian (not unlike the different variations of Humans and other species of creatures on Earth)?

Khameleon isn't Reptile's hope for reviving his race. If you beat the game with Reptile.

All i know is that there going to add a female reptile in the story, so that reptile can finally retire ;)

I believe Chameleon and Khameleon are a race of there own. They most likely share the same realm with Reptile race.
