The only character i can think of that i want to b brought back is....KHAN....he was the baddest mofo in the whole of mortal kombat....u can keep ur skinnocks and ur fancy lardy da shang tsungs...because khan was da Man...da pimp daddy...the arnold swarazanger of mk...cage came back because raiden brought him back...so y cant shao khan b brought back by some kind of pure evil..maybe he could b brought back by technology..a loyal servant could mix his body with electronical equipment or something...so that khan would b back,battle scarred and out for revenge or to destory everythin..giving mk a new dark futuristic direction..OR maybe he could come back in a demonic/devil like form..more powerful than before..with pure evil flowing through his blood.Wings,black armour,a weapon stance that included a long firey sword[which would b the weapon lucifer lead khan to],long black sort of living cape that could b used as a weapon,somethin spawn would wear,so that he is kept in shadow for most of the games images...like the introduction movie..so you only see him at the end.
i read ages ago that shinnock killed lucifer,master of the netherealm,so what if lucifer aided khan or changed him..using him as his new leader to retake a now masterless and even more chaotic neatherealm,then earth and the one final war on the heavens...i know a said lucifer was dead..so maybe he could hav a similar role as sauramon from lord of the rings,whereby he is returning and instead of being in a form u can touch...he is instead an invisible entity..and acts through others....this would bring back Shao khan,who is without doubt the best boss mk has had...it would also result in a titanic war over earth from lucifer's army of oni-demons lead by the some what indestructible shao khan and generals like scorpian[who has a strong link to the netherealm...so lucifer controls him...this would give scorpian the story line he deserves instead his constant revenge plotlines...he could also hav a battle with himself,as he trys to fight the control lucifer has over him...whether he comes through at the end of the day is another story] against the now remergent Dragon king and his undefeatable army,as well as tsung and quan chi,who hav hastily joined forces with the dragon king because they can hardly join earth...and dare not try to reason with khan and his dark army....imagine a titanic battle between 'the dragon king' and hell's Shao khan...then after an imense war..the dragon king would eventually b defeated...resulting in mk7...which would b lucifer/khan's war on heaven itself...with demons and angels going at it to the end..also this could b a way of bringing back past characters who were killed,instead of just making them turn up ,liu kang could b back with new powers learnt from secrets only the heavens could bring him....earths warriors would obviously need to go up on the power stakes...otherwise they r going to get bum rap*d by the new much more powerful evil forces...so the heavens would hav to beaf them up some how..special armour?...stuff like that.So overal...mk could go even more epic.
