Hello everyone, I'm am new here and I just bought MKD about three weeks ago. I unlocked Jade and Kenshi but I found out that it is mandatory to play Konquest mode to unlock the rest of the fighters. I am at the part where you meet Kenshi in Earthrealm but I cannot complete his style branching combos. They are very difficult for me and I was wondering if I could beat the game and get all of the charcters with out beating him. If you can help me, I would be very thankfull. That is all. sad
Please include a spoilers warning when revealing locations of characters in Konquest mode.

no sorry. There's nothing you can do that would help you/ Just keep practicing, it is the only way. Slow your mind down, and execute.

I also had problems with a few of the branching combos for some of the players. I think a few of them took me about 10+ tries to get them just right. there is no way for anybody to really help you with that part of the game. that is just something you need to practice to get through.

After you try the combo the first time make sure that after that you switch back to the right style that the combo begins in. That can get you if you don't think about it. Also combos can be done to fast you have to figure out the right speed to push the buttons. And you really don't have to look at the characters just keep your eyes on the buttons at the top right and just keep tapping in the buttons.

To me the only thing hard in Konquest is those lame unbalanced fights like you bleed , you take 30 % more damage , can't block, and the the person you fight heal. I hate those missions. If anything those mission ( for me at least discourage you to want to play the game more) I hope MK7 is more like MK: DA's Konquest anyway. Everything else in Konquest is pretty easy.

This is a very supportive community. Thanks for being so nice to a newby. And yeah, I hate those "your bleeding" fights. Another thing with Konquest, how do you unlock people like Tanya, Sindel, Liu Kang, Raiden ect?tongue Help will be greatly appreciated.

With most of them you just have to find the chests with the keys that open their coffins. Here's the link to the Krypt FAQ at Gamefaqs.com:
http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox/file/mortal_kombat_deception_krypt.txt
That has the locations of all the character keys.
As for Kenshi's style branch combo, the most important thing to remember is to NOT rely on visual cues from the fighter. Try writing down the buttons for the combo, then just keep practicing the sequence while the game is off. Memorize the commands, then when you do the combo in Konquest, look at the button sequence at the top of the screen, or look at the controler, or even close your eyes. I had trouble with Kenshi's style branch combos too, but I found that closing my eyes actually works.

I had the same problem. I became frusterated when i couldn't get the style branching combos right. This is what I did, I relaxed myself and calmed my self down. Then I thought "I can do this". I did the combo again, and I got it right.

I'm sory, but I think that it was extremely easy to do. Though I did play Deadly Alliance a lot, and was good at the branching combos in that game, too. I think, with the faster pace of kombo input in D, it's much easier this time around.
Just keep at it and you'll get it. But trust me--DA had much harder kombos than D does. Longer and you had to time the button presses just right.
