Konquest mode help Please read!!!

I am on Edenia in the Konquest mode and my mission is to talk to kitana.sounds simple enough right?I go to talk to her and she has the green courser on her and everything and when I try to talk nothing happens. The bitch just stands their. 
Can anyone please help me?
And yes I am hitting "A" to talk to her I am pretty far in conquest mode so I know for sure that its not me

You have to press "X" to talk, not "A". I havent played the game yet cause im grounded (I have it in my house but I cant play) but ive heard on other boards that its"X".

yea its kinda easy but its fun, and yeah i saw sonya in the chaos realm, i've seen everyone except Goro and Kintaro, Sheeva is dead in a room in the Netherrealm i think if not i haven't seen her either
