If any of you have read the Gamespot review of MK:D by Greg Kavasin (sp?), you would have noticed that he constantly said that Konquest was really bad and the weak point of MKD. My question is, is it THAT bad??

I just made a thread about this... actually two by mistake, but any way...
The one thing i like about the gamespot review, is that its a 8.5 with the horrible review of Konquest, meaning that must mean the Main game is 9.0+... or at least thats what the logical thing would tell us...

I enjoy the hell out of Konquest. I enjoy it more than arcade mode actually.

I love it. It's the kind of way I've always wanted to find secrets in a Mortal Kombat game. Hopefully there are more characters around, IF Boon kept his word. But even if he did, we won't know for a while because I'm almost certain he made sure the MK Team hid them VERY well.

No. Its fun,but I liked MK: DA Konquest better. Sure you don't have freedom in MK: DA Konquest but you got a huge part of the backstory too all MK characters in the game and sometimes more like Sheeva. At the same you focus mainly on the how the fighting system works. For me at least I've been trying to get use to the new fighting system. I've mastered MK: DA and I honestly thought that MK: Deception wouldn't be that much of a struggle to learn but I am wrong. Deception is a bit harder than I thought. I find myself looking at those fighting indictors. Before the game I wouldn't have thought I would use them.
Anyway another reason Konquest is ok when to MK: DA it is a bit of a hassle to find and train with the characters I would like to learn. Sure there is practice mode but I like Konquest method of doing things. Again I like Deception's Konquest, but I was hoping for a characters explaining how they came to be in Deception and past MK characters so say where they are (storywise) in Deception. Konquest is good but I wanted more character story to it rather just than Shujinko.

Well, I posted this thread before you did, or that your thread(s) were on the second page. If it was the latter, my bad. If not, moving along.......
I made this thread to get a better insight into this mode, not a fanboy's viewpoint but a gamer's viewpoint. Is the gameplay merely point-A-to-point-B stuff with training? Is the story really predictable?
I wouldn't of made this thread if I was American or Canadian, because if I was, I would be playing MK:D as I speak. Anyway, continue with the spreading of the thoughts.

It has some major flaws, and in many parts is very lame... VOICE ACTING! It does get the job done with teaching you basic moves and kick ass advanced moves with all the chars. Also it does get the job done with the bling bling. Lets just say if it was a full game, I wouldn't buy it for more then 5 bucks, BUT sense it's not I guess you can't be that hard on it. Oh yea the main char is SSSOOO DAMN stupid it's pretty funny how he gets himself into this huge mess! My advice get a good friend and play it with him. You'll never laugh so hard agien!
