You can't choose. You control a kid called Shujinko and travel through 6 realms completing missions and you meet MK characters during the journey.

We will see every MK character in full 3D in Konquest mode. Some characters that will be seen during Konquest will be much younger than in MK Deception.

If Shujinko starts his journeys when he is 13 and ends as an old man (in the arcade select screen he seems old), we can asume that we will meet the majority of all the MK fighters when Shujinko is growing, so we will meet people who is dead in Deception before they died.

Shujinko learning a style from Goro (for example) doesn't mean the Shokan Prince is alive. It's just that Shujinko met him before the Shokan was killed.

Nope, you can't change your name, at least nothing about a name change as been revealed yet. I might be wrong, but I think Shujinko is only confirmed for arcade and versus, I don't know about puzzle and chess.

Everything about Konquest mode in MK:D has been posted at least once on this forum. Just have a look around at the topics in this section, and just about all you ever wanted to know about Konquest has been asked at least once. Also, Boon has been interviewed quite a bit, and has revealed the details told to you.

Hey, no need to be mean to the kid, he asked a good question.

Unfortunately Bad_Boy, like mister_satan666 said, Boon only talks to those in the media, such as the moderators of this site, and sites like Gamspot and IGN. I'm sure though if he had time, Boon would likely have a way for fans such as yourself ask him questions that he'd answer. All the information for MK:D on any topic is available on this site. MK Online is a great source for new info, check back often for updates, and answers to your questions.

No offence, but Ed Boon is not god. He's a regualr person just like you and me, but he works for Midway.

Arcade and Versus (this includes online game).

The funny thing is that depending how you configure your Shujinko, he will use your favourite fighting styles (and online game will allow you to confront other's Shujinko... can you imagine how fun it will be?)

You will be able to choose 3 weapon styles, or 3 unarmed styles, or a kombination -ala MKDA (2 unarmed and a weapon style)- or 2 weapon styles and an unarmed style: you choose 3 styles among ALL the existing styles.

And Shujinko is not the definitive name as far as I'm concerned; instead you will be able to choose his name, buy only the name; not his appearance.

Abismo, I'm not sure we'll be able to change his name, since we've already seen the characters saying his name out loud in the cutscenes. They would need a very effective 'reading' system for the whole name change thing to work.
Not to mention Shujinko is an actual MK character, no diferent than Sub-Zero - who you played as in Mythologies, yet you couldn't change his name could you?

I read in an interview that Ed Boon said that during Konquest mode, the name will be Shujinko, but when you use him online you'll be able to choose the name.

I don't know how it'll be in the final game

Ummm Boon already said that they call him shujinko but the final name is up to the player.
