has anyone already received the latest issue of PSM magazine? it's going to have an exclusive 10 page report on Mortal kombat, and apparently IGN saids that it covers everything! so, i am wondering what they say about the fatalities.

and about the fatalities, the trademark of Mortal kombat. In my opinion, the fatalities are the heart of this game. that's what made the first game so damn famous. I mean, the first classic Mortal kombat. It had no combos, no real gameplay. hell, it was pretty boring to play, however, the inclusion of the fatalities is what made the game so spectacular. I remember the good old days..how i miss them. anyways, the fatalities in Deadly alliance sucked really bad... i mean, they were unrealistic, cheesy, and just damn disappointing. the lack of attention on the fatalities on Deadly Alliance, in my opinion, hurt the game. However, the gameplay was pretty challenging and there were other features that were pretty interesting, but otherwise, it was a letdown. The only fatalitity that was pretty gory was the one where the guy (can't remember his name) splits you in half with his laser. I mean, you get to see the spinal cord and guts...pretty cool!! i mean, that's what I expect a good fatality to be. Gory, bloody, and sick! I mean, it's all in the damn name: Fatality! I want to see guts and bones sticking out, spinal cords ripped, organs coming out... i mean, this is what a really good, sick fatality is.

I have heard many people wanting subzero's classic spine rip fatality...and this fatality MUST RETURN! it was always my favaorite one. anyways, i am really hoping that the development team dedicates plenty of time on the fatalities to make them as real, bloody, and gory as possible. So far, the game sounds and looks good, and I feel confident that MOrtal KOmbat will deliver better fatalities this time around.

Finally, speaking of the stage fatality that they show at the end of the trailer...i didn't reallythink it was all that gory. I mean, you just see a splatter of blood (i assume that's what the red stuff was) on the wall..and that's it!! i mean, it doesn't look like the spikes totally desintegrated the guy into just a pile of blood! where's the head, the arms...where's everything! i hope they fix that up.

if anybody has the latest issue, let me know...

Have the Fatalities ever been releastic? You got a guy the rips someone's head off and the spine come with it? You have a guy that uppercuts peoples heads off? A guy that tares a heart out of someones chest with one hand?

I'm not trying to flame you man, because I'm not like that. But Mortal Kombat's fatalities are not about being realistic, they're about being gore and disgusting.

And you have to give props to Cyraxs' and Raiden's Fatalities in MK:DA.

hey malice,

I am not referring to them being realistic in the sense that they can actually be done. What I am saying is realism in the sense of creativity...anatomically correct. see what i am saying? in deadly alliance, there was that "popcorn" type of gore that was just totally crappy... my point is that I want to see incredibly detailed bloody and gory fatalities, like the ones in Gladiator: sword of vengeance...now that game has some damn good fatalities.
