I agree, so true. Li Mei's outfit has her body and her color. So probably she broke free of the spell and maybe was cursed with the rumoured "dragon eyes" as a sign of mutiny.

is Li Mei still a evil fighter without the amulet, and does the dragon king still needs the amulet?

Listen, I seriously don't believe that Li Mei is evil in Deception. People see her wearing armor and immediately assume, "She's evil! Only evil people wear armor like that! It's DK armor!"

Now, I could see where this kind of a conclusion could be drawn but the evidence just doesn't support it. If you look at the DK's army ind Deadly Alliance you'll notice that Li Mei's armor looks NOTHING like the armor worn by the invincible army. The color scheme is completly wrong and the overal design of the armor is different. In fact, the only similarities is that it's armor and both have helmets.

There is also talk of her being evil because of her "freaky looking dragon-like eyes." Again, if you look at a picture of Li Mei from DA (like the one Shinomune ((I think)) posts on occasion) you'll see that her eyes have not changed. She had green eyes anyway, and the picture from E3 is just a low quality picture of a television screen which bleaches out the color anyway, making them appear strange looking.

Now, if you ask me I think that at the moment the best storyline assumption would be not that Li Mei is part of the Dragon King's army but rather that she's a part of Hotaru's group, The Order. You know, the group trying to restore order to Outworld? I would draw this assumption because if you look at the actual design of Li Mei's armor with Hotaru's you can see many similarities in the way they look.

Then again, I could be wrong but I just don't think Li Mei is evil but is now just a part of The Order.

I hope she is evil or something. Her new outfit makes her look different from Mileena now, so if they spiced up her story and what not she might actually be a good female character.

So far the only female character that I'm not digging alot is Ashrah. Mileena, Sindel, Lei Mei(who I did hate in MKDA), the chick that wears the dark blue or purple outfit (Kara I think it is) all rock so far from the looks of them.

maybe the dk put her soul back into her body but she is still obidient to him.

After Li Meis soul was vigorously injected into the decaying corpse of a dead solider of the Dragon Kings lost army, she was forced to serve the deadly alliance for what was thought to be an eternity. Once it came to notice that the terrible two were slain by ______, Li Mei had thought that she could rest assured that she would be finally restored to her normal state. To her surprise, the Dragon King had returned, she would never get complete manage of her body again. Luckily for her though, the Dragon King noticed her aptitude and gave her back her human like appearance, only to serve as an assassin for the rest of her being.
