Liu Kang's alternate is Kano (possibility)

Remember the ending of either Quan Chi or Shang Tsung (or was it Kano)? I think it is Quan Chi though. He tells Kano to kill Shang Tsung, because Quan Chi has no need for him. He then kills Kano, and Liu Kang's soul (that came from Tsung's body) goes into Kano's corpse.
Could it be possible that one of Liu Kang's alternates is the Kano (or a new version of Kano) from that ending in DA?
I know this can (and probably will) be conflicting with story direction, the actual endings of DA, and what is going to happen, but what do you think?
I think it's a stretch but, meh, anything is possible in MK. wink

I'm still working on a better way to post spoilers and make them unreadable unless you highlight them. tongue IGN boards are the only ones I can do it on.
