Liu Kangs and Raidens alternate costume?

Can somebody tell me how to unlock them?
read somewhere I'd have to train with raiden in outworld
and than fight him in edenia in order to get his alt.
well I did the training and fought him about 10 times and all I get is koins...
the key for liu kang' s alt is supposed to be located in edenia h 5 on the first day of every month but I just can't spot it.

its next to the bridge and its there till 12:15am so only 15 secs

To unlock both their alternate costumes you have to have unlocked and be able toplay as them in Kombat mode.
Liu Kangs alternate is found in Edenia at H-5. It is found on the First day of each month only, at 12 pm (noon). It only appears until 12:30pm.
Raydens alternate can be found in Edenia also. Dark Rayden can be found wandering F-3 after you have fought him in Earthrealm, unlocked him and fought him in Orderrealm. In Edenia, you must fight him once again. Win and you will receive his alternate costume. (I had to fight him twice. for some reason.)
