Good question but sorry I have to say f..ck Liu Kang! I'm glad he's dead , him and that annoying bicycle kick (bladmieufhleuif)I was sick of seeing him ,the next MK is better off without him , mind you I think he might return somehow.

I'm a fan of an evil Liu Kang or heck an evil Raiden.

I'm tired of seeing people come back to life in the MK games. If they die, they should stay their sorry asses in the grave and never return.

That goes for Johnny Cage and anybody else who's supposed to be dead.

I don't know what Boon and co have planned. They might just let Kang rest and pass on the torch to Lao or another as of yet un-named,, Personally, I don't think we've seen that last of Kang, either playable or story related. i think he should be a secret character and still play a role in the story, if not just for motivational purposes, thuogh. I think an Elder Kang with a wicked looking monk outfit would be sweet. We all know that kang and Raiden are butt-buddies, so to speak, So he's got the connections. IMO, anyway. as much as i enjoy liu-kang, he should be left out until the 7th game. have like the good guys are losing and liu cames as a ray of light, with a whole new look and moves ( keep his kicks though). and this game will be on the xboxnext, ps3, and nintendo whatever it's going to be called.

I'm also a fan of Liu Kang, never been irritated or annoyed by him. Although, the Dev Team already revealed some things about MK6, in order for fans not to have some types of expectations. One of the things that has been revealed (in MK6.net, which closed and whose members are part of mkintensive.com, so you can ask them) was that neither Liu Kang nor Shao Kahn will be in MK6, due to their death status. Although I believe both of them will return (Shao Khan already died once, and since he IS the Outworld emperor, he probably can't die, Liu Kang was after all built from MK1 to stand as MK's main warrior, so as a new Tournament aproaches, he shall be back, even if in another body).

I think that Kung Lao should just be the champ for a little while. I hope that Liu Kang won't be in MK6. I would like to see more of a development in Kung Lao, story-wise.

I agree with [SUB-ZERO. I'd also like to see Sub as the new chosen, as he is darker than Kung Lao, and Lao was always kind of a sidekick for Liu Kang (kind of a Green Hornet's Kato). Also, the main reason he's there is because of the legendary Kung Lao (the one who beated Goro for the first time, and was later killed by Shang Tsung), and it would be a little cliche to see History repeating itself (by having Kung Lao as Earth's Champion). Finally, Sub has more of a backstory than Kung Lao, so there are many possibilities on storylines.

liu kangs dead...and the storyline revolved around him. he was the main fighter protecting Earth. i think the the story should change in a new concept.

what if the lin kuei was Earth Realm's last line of defense(since sub-zero is the new leader of the clan)

the story would concentrate on the lin kuei and would keep the selectable ninja characters at a reasonable number(like 3 or 4 ninjas)there would be betrayal in the clan, deaths, return of smoke, etc. etc.

IMO, that wouldn't be such a bad idea, but im sure someone could think of better ones.

I think they need to step the hell away from the stereotypical concept of the champion being of Asian decent. Not because of any dislike for Asians, but really, it's almost ALWAYS them.

I'd like 2 see in MK6 a character that is pretty much close 2 Liu Kang with new adds but not Liu Kang himself.

I'm bored of seeing him in all the previous MKs with almost the same look and the same fighting style.

What's good about Liu Kang is that he's unique, different than the rest (his voice, look, fighting style)

A bad Liyu Kang would be a great idea..........and for anyone who thought Johnny died 5 or 6 times they said he didnt in his ending........it was all part of the movie.so he never really died............confusing as it may be he never did.....
