Loading screen picture character

On the loading screen when each match loads up there is a picture of a guy. He is looking down and there is green stuff coming up from him. I assumed it was shang tsung since he has all that green soul stuff but it looks nothing like him. Anyone know who this is???

Hmm...I thought it was Mavado, but I couldn't figure out what the green stuff had to do with him. Thanks for the info, I get it now, that was when Kenshi was blinded by the "green flash."

ya, if you read the plot guide on game faqs, go under kenshi and it will make sense from there
