Is it just me or is anyone else here nastalgic for the classic 2-D Mortal Kombat's digitised actors? I've always thought that with all of the fighting games out there at the time with exagurated cliche characters, it was an encredably cool and original choice for midway to splice in real actors. I'm not saying that MK should go back to 2-D as I love the 3-D fighting mechanics but I think that Midway should pay homage to it's own past by modeling their characters to be more realistically proportioned. It seems like every fighting game out there has characters with the typical huge hands and feet, and freekishly big muscles. I personally think that it just cheapens everything. It looks like they're trying to appeal to teenage WWF fans. I'm certainly not saying that characters should modelled like your everyday average joe but more like Bruce Lee, Gorgon Liu and Jet Li. When was the last time you saw a 250 pound kung fu master?
