Well looks like two amazing characters have been replaced by Jax and Liu Kang.

Its a shame, the inclusion of these two would have made the game a perfect ten, but again I feel Ill be looking back to MK2 and wondering if it'll ever be the same.

Im actually suprised, with all the outcry against Jax and Kang, and the numerous petitions for Sektor and Kitana, its just really a shame that it turned out this way.

Li Mei

All of these spots could have been given to way better characters like...

Kitana
Nitara
Kung Lao
Shang Tsung
Quan Chi
Sektor
Rain
Reptile


And with Noob Smoke, and two round death traps, I am seriously less excited about MKD.

Also with Super Shujinko, it opens up the
game to extreme cheapness.

Thoughts ?

Hey Dick head, at least Kitana is still alive, reptile got turned into dragon goo.

At least Kitana was strong, instead of running around the realms crying for a new master to beat him.

Dude i totally agree with you for the most part at least. I think Darrius will be decent but I could do without Jax to have Sektor. I really hope that Sektor will be back next time he rules.

I think people take these games way too seriously, its not like there wont be another game.

And with the "news" on MK7, all characters will probably be downloadable anyway, dont sweat it.

Jax being back is just horrible. I am so sick and tired of him. He is the most stale character in the franchise. He's been in every game since MK II. That's almost a DECADE of him nonstop! I don't understand it. Why is he in so many games? He isn't even that popular!

I dont, nor will I play online games. Its just not my thing, so if I have to download content, this is pretty much the last MK game for me.

I'm not going to believe Jax is in until I see proof. We've had countless sources "confirming" him and not a single thing to show for it. It's always bullshit or confusion with Darrius.

Boo-hoo, did I strike a nerve? Nice, intelligent response when I in no way started flames with you. I hate Kitana, and I'm glad at this point she's not in it. Oh and Reptile isn't my favorite character, I just loved that icon of him in MK2.

I think Sektor would have been a better bet to return. Kitana...I wouldn't miss her. She wasn't that useful in Deadly Alliance anyway.

LoL joins in singing with shinjo5. I hate kitana I say here jax and sonya should leave replace them with sektor Rain and Mavado.(FOR GOOD) Plus there not gone did you forget about the super unlockables which there'll be more then 5. Rain being a super secret. All my money on that.

Honestly, Jax was probably brought back time and time again cause he was a fun character to play and because he was black. His ground pound and his other effective moves that have shifted in and out of the MKs have always made him one of the best as well as the best with Mileena in MK2. Simple as that.

I say get rid of Kitana, but stick Sektor Back in. Bring back Smoke as a Cyber instead of "fusing him with Noob to make Noob Smoke." We wouldn't be having this idiotic conversation if Tobias had stayed with MK instead of making Tao Feng & losing a helluva lot of money. Anyway, we don't have enough special forces characters in the game, but bring back Sonya & Cyrax instead of Jax. Let's assume Mavado killed him! Rain's better by far, as long as they re-design him completely (as in unmasked). As for Reptile, he's nothing more than a tool tongue for people like Nitara, Shao, Shinnok, Onaga, etc.

Reptile, Quan Chi, Shang Tsung and Sektor should've been in this game Noob and Smoke should've been separate characters IMO. Noob Smoke? WHAT KIND OF SHIT CONCEPT IS THAT?!

No I didn't, however I do prefer Noob and Smoke to be separate entities. I'd like to see what clever way Midway came up with just to merge these two characters that have NO LINKS between them.

I agree with HDTran, Jax was a fun character. He had so many good moves, I hope they give him back the ones he ahd in MK:T and before he went 3D. I don't think he was confirmed as a playable character, he's just in konquest mode. Really though, bitching is getting old. I expect it when the game comes out, but not right now when things are being changed so fast. I clicked this thread for info, not some big ball of tears.

As a huge Kitana fan, I'm actually glad she's sitting out for a bit, since it was getting to the point where they were needing to force her into the story. And Kobra and Darrius could end up being the next Scorpion and Sub-Zero, so let's just wait on that one.

MK is doing a greatthing, I think, because people looked back unfavourably on Tanya and Li Mei and Nightwolf, calling them one game wonders and rip-offs. I think they're trying to make it so that every character is unique and distinct, even former palette swaps, and I think that's a great thing.
