If lui kang did come back heres how id explain it

after the return of the dragon king the weather on earth goes hay wire storms and other strange weather reports are all over the world. shang tsung and quan chi offer there services to the dragon king in the hope of finding a weakness and killing him at a later date but the dragon king is no fool
and kills them both after a long battle upon the death of shang tsung lui kangs soul leaves his body but the dragon king does not suck it in because the dragon king does not have the full extent of his powers lui kangs soul travels to his coffin lighting storms are all around but as he is entering his body by a strange twist of fate a lighting bolt strikes his body just as his soul enters it causing lui kang to split in to two beings one good the other evil the two of them fight just as the good lui is about to win the evil lui lowblows the good one and makes his escape after recovering the good lui kang runs off in pursit
