I don't know too much about the technical aspect of this, but it looks interesting... http://www.warppipe.com

And in case you're wondering why this is posted in the Deception forum... it should be pretty obvious!

Aye, I use it for Mario Kart DD. So, it could be used for MK:D as well, if the game comes to gamecube.

It's very useful.. In the instructions is the info, all you need is a DSL/LAN or USB modem, no extra stuff, no extra charges. The speed depends on the speed of your modem (you can check your opponent's ping). All that needs to be done is download the warppipe sotware and make the conections (in the site they give you the step by step procedures for all types of conections).

And this sofware is being upgraded for an easier use. The latest version is 0.3.5 but soon the 0.4 version will be out which will include buddy list, instant messaging, chat, etc.

Please keep in mind the only way Mortal Kombat 6 ( if it even comes to Gamecube) to use warp pipe is if Mortal Kombat 6 supported LAN option. I would like MK6 to come out on gamecube as well. When I 1st heard that MK6 wasn coming to gamecube I was dissapointed, but in the end I am glad it is coming. I think the warp pipe program just got upgraded a few days ago so I think it is faster and easier to use. :.\

Yeah I'm pretty sure the management at Midway should be considering LAN support for GC. That could be a solution to online game and Gamecube's version. There's no "online" excuse for gamecube, it is POSSIBLE to play online games with it. If they don't decide to adapt it ten it must be for some other financial reason.
