According to Midway, the game will be "shocking and evil," and will rework the fighting franchise "with a host of new features including multiple fatalities per character, multi-tiered interactive backgrounds and extensive new game modes” said Steve Allison, Midway's chief marketing officer.

Reading that got my hopes up! I can't wait to see more on this. This very well could be the rejuvination that the MK series is in need of.

My thought: Shang Tsung turned on Quan Chi and resurected Shao Khan. Now Shao Khan is out for Chi's ASS!!

i saw the vid, i saw no sub zero, no fatalities, and no sho kahn helmet

While i did not see Sub-zero or the helment, the end of the trailer clearly shows what appears to be a background fatality.

The "helmet" flashes very very quickly, if you downloaded it, try pausing it and moving the slider, you can see everything that way smile.

You know, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the guy wearing the blue and shooting ice blasts was Sub-Zero.
