Midway to change MK:D name for french territories

From a french source we can trust (gamekult.com)Midway plans to make some name modifications for french speaking territories.

Mortal Kombat : Deception will indeed undergo a name change due to the meaning of "deception", which translates as "disappointment" in french. Quite difficult to sell a game with such a name!

It will officially be released under the name of Mortal Kombat : Mystification

nb: I don't know if anybody feels concerned about this but I figured I add my grain of salt.

Midway has already said their not going to change the name its in the news head lines i think 2nd one down when you first come to this site.

It was announced today to french medias, so it has nothing to do with the news of june 26th on this website.

Anyway, who cares really ? I do, because I'm a french speaker, but the bottom line is that this doesn't alter the core of the game, so whatever.

if thats the case they should rename it for all the spanish countrys cuz deception sounds more like decepción (diapointment)

I'm from Brazil and, in portuguese, the word Deception also translates to 'disappointment'... but still, they wouldn't change the name here! :) MK fans are pretty loyal (wouldn't pass a game because of a name) and the series' main public are the fans.

Besides, I think Deception is a pretty cool name!
