MILEENA 101
this is a short guide about how to use my fave character, mileena effectively and more especially FUN!!!! mileena is easy to use and very fast, she is one awsome character.
BASICS: mileena is pretty fast and has good far ranged combos(combos that can cover up distance pretty well) her combos are easy to use fun too look at and to do. Her specials are very suprisin if used correctly. however, if the moves dont hit, she is vunerable to attacks, and this is dangerous.
first of all id like to say brute strength is not the only way to win. use mileenas speed and combos to your advantage. these combos may be a tad weak, but used them correctly and your apponents life will goooo doooowwwn!!!!
Guide:
First Stance: Ying-Yeung
Not her strongest, but has alot of combos.
These are my custom combos..i named them myself :P
(note some combos may be already made....and named...if so...USE MY NAMES)
Back off: !!!
6 hits, 16% damage
1,1,3......back+2...... down+2
this stance is very good at connecting combos.
simply start off with a 1,1,3.....and while in the air you can execute a 1,1,1 or 1,1,2, or 1,1,4.
when you want to switch to the next fightin style
Konquest:
8 hits, 17 % damage
1,1,3,cs.....4,1
NOTE: to deal with turtlers in this style, try low attacks and occasional grabs.
for this stance combos are very simple. combos which i use mostly in this style is
Glory:
6 hits, 26% damage
4,1....4,3
dodge and evade and use this combo to bounce juggle your apponent. this combo may be used to send an apponent into a death trap.
another combo
uh?
6 hits, 22 % damage
2,2,up+1....4,3
To switch to SAI
do the combo
4 hits.......27%( may be lower)*not really that sure about this %*
4,3,cs
NOTE: to handle turtlers, the occasional grab, if the turtle is standin use back+3 to sweep them off there feet. if they duck use the combo glory, it attacks high and bounces your apponent and does a decent damage for 4 buttons.
THIRD STYLE: SAI
FUN FUN FUN!!!
extremly fun combos to use with sai and mileenas specials.
HEAVEN:
5 hits 18% damage
1,1,up+2......up+2.....forward, forward+ 4
HELL:
5 hits 18% damage
1,1,up+2......up+2.....back, down+4
PURGATORY:
5 hits 18% damage
1,1,up+2......up+2....down, forward_2
SIMPLICITY:
1,1,back+1.....1,1, up+2,....
To get out of tight corners use the sabertooth combo.

2, forward+2
NOTE: turtlers in this stance..if standing...murder them with standin 4(sweeps them off their feet)
if crouching use
1,1,back+1 ....this bounces the opponent and u can turn add a up+2 to turn it into a heaven, hell, or purgatory combo(slightly harder in this way)
NOTE: in usin mileena in her stances
use her speed and these combos. THE COMBOS I GAVE YOU ARE JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG.
use her speed. like kitana it is her grace in battle which is most effective. not brute strenght. learn how to dodge and push apponents away from you.
NOTE: in my experience, when people tend to grab the go close---you can avoid this by duckin and executin mileenas uppercuts. first stance: either up+2, back+2< if back 2 you can follow up with a combo>
second stance..(up+2) third stance not to sure about this one- i do a up+y and follow up with a combo of your choice.
When i play mileena i try to make my apponents use up there breakers VERY fast. that way wen you do her juggling combos, your free to execute them without breakering.
remember low and high attacks are very special, they can win a battle and lose a battle.
FYI if you didnt kno*** if you are knocked to the ground by a move...u can toggle up and press y,x, ........ to roll to the other side--recovery rate is VERY fast.
use mileenas specials sparingly, only to suprise a opponent. if it misses you leave yourself open to combos or any attacks since mileenas recovery in her specials are very slow.

btw wen i play i go all offensive and try to make the opponent use up there breakers

OOPS note glory and the 4,1...4,3 are all in her second stance
w/ mileena, just stay in stance 2.. 4,1 roll then throw.. her down 1 is a great low poke! its important to mix in a lot of throws.. then cheese w/ the 4 1... she has a 32% combo.. but im not home right now, so i cant make sure of it... ill post later in the morn..

This is a good 29% damage combo that I use often.
Begin in Mileena's 2nd fighting stance, then:
4, 1,... up +1,...4, 3, cs.
This will always give 29% damage if all attacks connect correctly.
It is quite hard to hit the opponent with the final attack of the change stance combo. I've found that the best way is to execute the final three attacks later than usual, when your opponent has almost landed.
It takes some practice, but it pays off in the end. There may be more powerful variations of this combo, perhaps with more juggles, so if anyone discovers a better version please post it. EDIT: Or, even better, for 30% just miss out the up+1.

i think its a pretty good guide...her juggles may be weak but their easy to execute....better then those combos which do 35% those combos are hard to time and hard to make the moves hit. these combos are simple and if used alot they make the apponent lifes go down. btw, u can use the juggles to send the opponent into a death trap.

All of Mileena's moves are awesome and i dont think of her as "low damage" or a "weak" fighter, maybe its just that people arent good with her........

yea, shes not weak, shes a strong fighter.....her specials are awsome...so fun to put in custom combos, and suprising

As Mileena is my all time favorite character, i love her. She doesnt have the best combo's compared to some other people. But is still a hell of fun to play with. She rules

Ok the 35% is hard however if you read the link you will find some very easy 30 and 31% juggles and the only difficult part of the 35% is getting the last hit to connect otherwise its 32% or so by itself.
Of course you think the guide is great you wrote it. But you didn't say anything that isn't common sense or doesn't apply to any other character. Your juggles were not that great I personally came up with better in under 30 minutes. Strategy like duck to avoid throws and uppercut? That can apply to every character not mileena. Why not provide specifics instead of generics. It's like me saying ok with kobra what you want to do is be fast try not to get hit and when you can combo your opponent and make them waste their breakers once the breakrs are gone you can juggle them and they can't escape. If they try to throw you duck it and d2 then because it comes out pretty fast. Dana gave better strat in his two lines than you did in your whole post.

yeap, he did, after all this is a short guide and it s fun executin the combos. and dodging and appricuts arent my strategy, read the post more carefully, its juss a tip to do for people whose just starting to play.

Well everybody has their feelings hurt at some point. Two ways to react one is to get upset about it and have negative feelings toward the person who made the criticism the other is to take the criticism as just that and use it to improve yourself next time. If I get critisiced whether it's totally negative and uncalled for or done in a polite way I handle it the same.
