Thought I'd make a transcript of what Boon said about Mileena // I thought I'd share it because it reveals the truth about which was the first female ninja.

Ed Boon: Mileena was created because we needed to stretch the memory in our game again. We were out of memory, we had a cool female character in Kitana and we kinda wanted to double on that and give her, ya know, special moves and make an anti-Kitana in a sense and so that's kinda were Mileena came from.

Ed Boon: So then, with Mileena we had also introduced Baraka. So we wanted make a tie with her because Baraka was a really bad character, so underneath the mask, Kitana is really beautiful and underneath Mileena's mask is these really nasty teeth that were orginally never on the costume, but we just kinda draw them in the fatalities.
