What do you think of the stage fatalites seen so far?
So far these are floating around from websites: Dragon Head Stage: Dragon head on one side of the fighting arena. Victim gets knocked into it, the head chomps on them. Steel Forge: Everyone must have seen this one. A victim is kicked into it and crushed. Spikes: A victim is kicked off a platform and is impaled. Ice Stage: People say a worm is at the bottom of this four layer stage. I heard an ice storm sweeps up a victim. Meat Grinder: Nuff said. Lava Stage: The same one in MK: Deadly Alliance, but this time there isn't a force field blocking anyone from going in the surrounding lava. Yin/Yang Stage: Beach on one side of the stage, the background flips revealing lava surrounding the edges. Mountain Stage: A circle stage with a cliff. Anyone knocked over the cliff is buried in rocks as an avalanche comes down on them. Bettle Lair: A glass panel sits in the background that hides bugs that eat whomever is smashed through it. Again, these are just what's floating around right now.

I think they're great! I love the grinder Fatality and the one with the spike where Nightwolf got impaled was awesome! I'm hoping the one with the ice worm will make it into MKD!

My favorite so far is the tower. Whatever side the character falls from is a different result.

What about the lasers?

One of the game developers mentioned that there was a stage where lasers dissected the vic. Anybody know what stage this is?

Is it just me, or does the mountain stage look almost exactly like the one from MK4 (the one where you can make the rain turn to blood via a code at the vs. screen)?

don't know; but I hope that the stages in Chess Mode will be playable in the regular fighting mode like: Deadpool and the Portal; I'd also like to see the Living Forest return (all having stage fatalities)!

2 words SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!!
I just watched one of the new ign videos. It was Ashrah vs Hotaru. They were fighting on top of a tower and Hotaru hit Ashrah through one of the side panels, sending her crashing down and bouncing off of another ledge and finally landing on the ground. On the next level, Ashrah knocked Hotaru off and I was expecting the same result, ala Dead or Alive. But to my delight, Hotaru just kept falling, and falling, and falling until BOOM!!!! He slammed into a brick floor and exploded, his head bounced off the screen. The wait until October is gonna suck!

Some stages do look the same from past games.
