Hey you guys this be Webster from MN!
Well I'm not sure if yha is familar with other fighting videogame sites like tekkenzaibatsu.com or shoryuken.com. But I think we need a thread that get all of us hardcore MK gamers to meet others and test each other skillz out.
I mean, look MK6 is playable online. We all know how vast de audience of competition can get. And why not have everything, in-terms of competition, start right here on mk5.org!
I mean when was the last time you all have ever been to a tournament with competetive MK play? I know it's been a while for me.
But this is somethin want yha to think about. I gotta go to lunch, and I'll check back later. I for one wanna place MK back to the top of videogame excelence! I with help, we can do that!
Peace!

Well to answer how we could do it, is this:
I'd have to find a way to talk with an administrator on mk5.org, about my plea for putting in new Discussion threads pertaining to MK gatherings, tournaments, aftermath, and etc. If we can get that established then I'm sure everything else will flow like water in a summer spring!
But the question is who do I speak with on here about the stuff I mention earlier.
But to give you an exact example, try this:
The discussion thread could be entitled: MK Kombat, or The Kombatrealm
then when a user (and it shouldn't just be users that are registered...but they can't post til they actually are, like in the discussion forums) clicks on there, they would sent to a page that has the following:
- Online Kombat:
Here players can post up groups. For mk-players that they play on a regular basis with, they can have a sort of rank in their clan to show respect to their top players in their group...think of it as a martial arts dojo with instuctors and students or generals and agents...somethin like that).
And maybe there could be a way in-which you can rank-up... possibly defeating rival caln members to prove yourself worthy to get a different rank. Or if you wanna be like me fight the Leader in the group and defeat him and take over the group. But it shouldn't just be that easy but that's an idea to start.
For those that don't have internet, or that would like to meet and hang-out with people that appriciate the game as much as they do. We could have a Match finder/Making and gathering forum (as this thread is the sole purpose of having this said item as part of mk5.org).
They would be broken into the following:
N. Americanrealm:
People from all over the US post-up and find/meet others in their respective state. For example,
I'd post MN (minnesota) players shout out (that's what the thread will be called). Then people who play any mortal kombat (but more'n'likely MK6), and that live in MN could post in that thread and meet others from the same state. They could talk about scheduling gatherings, tournaments, outings (like to the mall), anything...but keep it clean and mk bloody of course!
And then we could do that for major countries, like S. America, Europe, Asia, and Australia...or what ever. With the respective countries, cities, and language...and put into perspective.
I hope you guys see where I'm comin from. I'd really like-it, if someone from the administration team views this and imply this into mk5.org asap! And I garuntee you this, it will get more people playin this game, and increase the level of competition that's soon to come! Tournamnets and all. Hell...we could have them (tournaments online) getting people from all over the world, playin to see who is the absolute best MK player.
Eventhough it is ME. Becasue I never put MK 5 down when everyone else gave up on the game. Oh yha think I'm kidding, well then test my might!
Tell me what yha think!

I'm really diggin this Idea. I tried to start this a long time ago. I'm from Tampa, Fl

Sounds like a good idea but alot of xbox players already have a tourney going. So if you wanted to start a ps2 tourney feel free. But I think I am going to play in lifeless xbox tourney first. DSB

Well I totaly understand where yha is comein from about the X-box on-line tournaments.
But I'm talkin about that, and meeting people in general in the state or contry that you'd live in. I mean there should be forums that just focus on people meeting others where ever they are from, and scheduling tournaments, events, gatherings, etc.!!!
I see a big difference. Well in question, who on here would I talk to about starting this said forum...does anyone know who?
