Tell the truth, I can't say I'm happy, but I am intrigued. THey haven't used Kabal, Tanya, Sindel, Smoke, Ermac, Baraka, and Mileena since God knows when and I'm very anxious to see whatever became of them since the last time they appeared. Still, without Nitara and Mavado and Frost, this game feels naked. The new characters are looking very interesting though (except for Dairou and Hotaru. They look stupid. I am intrigued by what Ben will be like, and Ashrah and Kira I'm already loving!)

Add Nitara, Frost, and Mavado. They were very intriguing characters and I wish for them to return. Oh, and Sareena too.

Yeah, kind of. He was interesting, and he has so many grudges. Also, I kind of dubbed MK4-now the Quan-Chi Story Arc, since he seemed to be the main villain (he was even deceiving Shinnok). I dubbed MK1-MK3 The Shao Khan Story Arc. heh. So, yeah, come back Quan-CHi!

-I have no reason to be unhappy with the game. The game by itself looks great, it's just they haven't kept much stuff under wraps. I'm waiting for Midway to come out and say everything we know is a Deception.

-Although I am not too happy with the roster, I know a lot of people are. It's more of a "Little Timmy down the Street's" roster than one that could really help the series though.

-It could definately be improved. Characters like Smoke and Kabal should have been added at the very end, after characters like Sonya and Cyrax (with ongoing stories) have been included.

-I would like Quan Chi to return to the game with his own story, moves, styles, etc. I would like him to be a super secret character though. We should know he's in there, but spend months trying to get him.

-I am neutral on the Liu Kang matter. How they handle his return is what really matters.

-I would have had him return in MK7 if anything, with a build-up to it (but nothing too revealing). But I guess Midway knows what its doing.

-I am extremely average opinioned on this one (if that makes sense). I think the characters osund really good, but it sounds like they've come up with 16 new characters, not 8. I think there will be more, hopefully a Tekunin and a Red Dragon member or two. The characters sound good, but I hope they don't do what they did with the MKDA characters (welcome to MKDA, goodbye you're not in Deception).

-I would probably welcome Kahn. I think he should remain a cannon character, yet not directly related, though. When he returns to power, we should have a three-way fight between Earthrealm, The Dragon King's forces and Shao Kahn's forces (with some other groups caught in the middle).

-I don't mind the idea of two Fatalities. I don't use them much anyway. I would have liked two Fatalities, a Weaponality and an Animality, though (Greedy, I know).

-I don't mind the idea of Hari Karis, as long as they lead to something. Ie. Scorpion does one, and ends up in the Netherealm where he gets to fight an Oni, when he wins that Oni is playable. If they don't have a point then I really don't get why they're in there.

Anyway, I'm happy for the most part on everything, just the character sheet I feel is really terrible. Lesser characters replaced primary characters essential to Deadly Alliance's story continuation.

I'd give it a solid thumbs in the middle. I'm unhappy with the lack of certain characters (Kitana, Quan Chi, Kung Lao) and the presence of other characters (Liu Kang, Tanya, Li Mei, the ninja deluge). However, some of the classic returning characters look like lots of fun, so I guess it all evens out.

Yup. Ditch Liu Kang, Li Mei and Tanya and add Kung Lao, Kitana and Quan Chi. It'd be perfect then.

I never understood people's obsession with "secrets." I'd like to be surprised to a certain extent, but I want to know what the basics of the game will be and what characters will be included. Midway needs to release such information to hype the game, anyways, so the days when we could start up an MK game and be surprised just by who is on the character screen is dead and gone. I'm also the type who just buys the cheat book to find moves and fatalities and other secrets, because I find randomly inputting button sequences to be insanely boring. Or perhaps just insane.

Probably, though from the looks of things, early Fall is going to be plenty busy with Halo 2, Bloodrayne 2, Darkwatch and Doom 3 all coming out as well. I'll have some hard choices to make.
