Well I predicted something like this when I played MK Armageddon which is now has a big pile of dust on top of it. Armageddon would have been so much better with character specific fatalities, the finishers is what basically killed it gameplay wise and the story pretty much went nowhere. Enough of that though, I am here to discuss the new crappy MK game wich this time I will not buy at all. I am through with the newer versions.

The main problem I see with this game which could kill the game right away is the story. MK fans of the past loved the story, it was different and unique unlike SF. This game series had an excellent story up until DA in my opinion. Now they are going to try to crossover two brands of media that have absolutely nothing in common whatsoever. Some crossover medias have worked and some haven't. Alien vs Predator worked because it was done before. Freddy vs Jason didn't really work at all. But really, who in the world beside kids would buy this game? Kids love Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, etc. but MK has been a mature game. Now you know the news will definitely be able to tear down MK easily. I can see reporters now: "If you have a violent video game, why put attractive super heroes that you know little children love in the game such as Batman, Superman, etc.? Children of those ages do not need to be introduced to violence in that way." Now don't get me wrong, the comics are no way good for kids to read, but the media will be talking about them like cartoons. Face it everyone, Mortal Kombat is no more. After hearing of this I let my professor know in my class of Beginning Game Level Design who is a huge fan and he agrees that this is just a plain out marketing campaign being used to save Midway's behind after the unsuccessful last three installments. Now I asked last three, and according to many retailers like Gamestop/EB and other game trading companies MKDA, MKD, and MKA had the highest number of returns within a month and are hard to get off the shelves. I'd like to know that info though. Anyway, everyone, I'll see you all at MK's funeral. R.I.P. MK and farewell to all.
