I was playing daily for weeks. It just gets old after a while. Like you said, Everyone just tries to find the Big Cheese out there. I get tired of having to pull out Nightwolf every match because my opponents want to pick Baraka, Dairou, and BRC. Then you gotta hear them all whining in the chat afterwords. "You were NightWolf, You cheesed me". "No Shit DumbASS, you just picked a Newb-Fighter and you didn't deserver a fair fight".

I responded to a previous post about the online ability going down with age. In a way it is a blessing. I personally havent played to many matches on Xbox live but I was in the hundreds on PS2. To many RL things to devote the time atm but I believe the decrease in players could be bandwagon fans leaving the game. It happens in many online games where people buy whats new because of review or such. So, at the launch there will always be an influx of people playing and over time the newness will wear off and people who are not true fans or devoted enough will jet. Even with die hard MK fans you still have to give it a rest from time to time, but I don't think it will die off easily.
Also if on Xbox there may be a decrease in players due to 2 highly anticipated online game releases in DOAU and Halo 2.

One of my biggest issues is time, I have just been so busy I haven't gotten to play the game like I want to. Im not horrible, but not that good, but I should be alot better than I am.. ON x-box live i have the same gamer tag in xbox live, basically mkraiden 4d4, curious if anyone on here has played me.. But yeah Im one of the few who doesn't have everything unlocked for the krypt, part of this however, I keep trying to beat it without a guide, but eventually I'll probbly just use a guide to find the last 7 coffins.
I hope to get on there and play somemore, like a previous poster said, ture mk fans will be on there forever, just due to time, personal issues, or just need of a break, there will be low times.

I still plan on getting Xbox live... when I do I'll probably play MK online for a long time.

the biggest problem with mkd online on ps2 is all the glitches and disconnects... i dunno if everyone has that problem but i have a pretty good connection and it is always gettin messed up its very annoying ..... but with time lets hope it gets better andt heproblem gets fixed

Online games can be played 24 hours a day. So there may be certain times (like about 3 pm) where there'll be tons of kids playing because school is out. Then there will be times (like 11 pm) when all the adults will be playing. Then there are times (lik 4 am) where no one's really playing. Sure the user level will go down after the "newness" goes away, but I actually look forward to it because then only the hardcore players will be playing, not somepunk kid disconnecting when they lose. Give it a few months. The number of users will drop, but the quality will rise, because by then only the people who want to play and love the game will be left.

Can someone explain to me why they think Nightwolf is the big cheese? He is my best player hands down. I do not throw at all. I sure hope you are not refering to the lighting. Scorpion has the "hell fire"; alot of other player have stomps and Dairou is a cheap ass by far because that is the only move people use who have no skill. I think you all think he is cheesy because you can't beat him. When you play him all you do is use cheesy tactics like infinites and throws because you can't handle him.

I think the problem is that people all have 1,000 different names and try to beat higher rated people which just kill their points if they lose. Everyone should keep their one name no matter what your win/loss rating is. Everyone loses, even the top 10 folks in the country. The other problem is when people lose they are bad losers. They moan and complain calling the other person 4 letter names, so they run off and get their Gameshark or do some cheap infinite combo over and over claiming "victory" LOL Get a life. Sure takes the fun out of the game. I have had the best time playing someone better than myself and getting beat 5 times in a row. He fought me straight up with no "cheese" and beat my ass fairly. Now that is what Mortal Kombat is all about. IMO
