About Me

"Is it so important that you win one last argument with him?" "No, it is not, but it is true that I will miss the arguments; they were, finally, all that we had."

I'm wanting to get back into this game, since I remember it being pretty decent, but from what I remember, I hated the way they retold the events of MK2 so much, I wrote the whole thing off as terrible; I didn't like how dumb Liu Kang and Kung Lao were, how Johnny Cage seemed to be the only informed person in the entire game, how convenient a lot of the plot points are, etc. I'm not sure if I'll have a change of attitude with it, since it's been years since I've even seen playthroughs of it, but I'd like to try. What are your experiences with the game?

For me, MK Shaolin Monks provided only good memories. I was a teenager at the time and i remember myself buying my copy, happier than ever, the game is between MK1 - MK II actually, but the style of the game surprises me and it was a good travel from beginning to end.

I think it's about time to re-release MK Shaolin Monks! The game would be great for the Nintendo Switch!! :D

It is on time to re-release The game, and create The Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks 2, would be cool to start from The end of MK2 to begining of MK3

When Shaolin Monks came out I received it in the mail from GameFly. About a day or so later it went right back in the mail. It wasn't good for 2005, especially after coming off of how great Deadly Alliance and Deception were, so chances are it won't be enjoyable now. However, I was curious to see if my opinion would change and if anything would stand out to me so I'm going to revisit it and give it another chance in 2021. I'm also going to give that same chance to MK Mythologies which I remembered not enjoying much in 1997, but still played it a lot more than Shaolin Monks. Perhaps I'll even give Special Forces a second chance lol...well, maybe not that one.

MK Shaolin Monks is one of the highest points of the series with great level design, one of the best coop system ever and great art direction.

I still play it from time to time and I get tons of fun. I rate it very very high and it could actually have been the best 3D era game.

Definitely would love a remake... Definitely needs a sequel.
