This came up previously when the writer of the last 3 asked our opinions, but I figure since the game is closing in, I'd ask your opinions.

This hasn't really come up since then, so discuss:

What you'd like to see in the guide?
Would you like a normal and Special edition? Maybe an additional artbook with it?

I've always been a sucker for some awesome pictures. A guide always has to be rich with pictures and I'm not talking just renders thrown all throughout the pages.

Let's say each fatality move should have a picture of the Fatality being performed.

Each character should have a picture of their in-game bio, if any.

Pictures of all the different costume colors, designs, etc...

Behind the scenes pictures.

Pictures of hidden spots, buttons, areas, moves...

Pictures of character's special moves... w/e

Of course, a lot of helpful information and guidance through story mode, move-sets, unlockables, hint/tips, etc... basic standard guide stuff.

I figure I'm good as long as everything is mapped out properly, and I'd particularily like full body renders that aren't covered up by blocks of text and commentary.

If it were packaged with an Art book that'd be ideal for me though.

a MK fighting Guide is worthless unless you want the pretty pictures.

only guides worth reading are the ones written by high level players, the folks who make these guides are not.

Most of the time the high level players need to play the game for a long time to figure everything out; The guys who write these guides are only given 1-3 months to do so.

Only problem is that the people that don't have access to the internet can't read the guides made by the high level players, but otherwise I agree from a gameplay point of view.

From a special moves and fatality point of view or say maps for konquest etc I'm going with the guide easily.

So honestly people can benefit from a regular guide. I get them for easy fatality access and to collect themgrin

I like it when they have the tier list. The Armageddon strategy guide was my favorite because it included that...
