with all the gameplay innovations that midway is promising...the words analog compatible come to mind.(ps2, btw)
with all the multi level arenas and such, it could add much to gameplay.(like to arenas that dont have a "drop off".)instead of smacking an invisible wall, you should be able to hit the actual wall, or possibly pull a liu kang and run up/backflip off of it depending on which way you rotate the joystick+different attack buttons.
the joysticks could add a lot to basic gameplay as well, like a sort of "move modifier". so if i use u+4 for scorp in hapkido, depending on what way i roll either joystick would make him perform it differently or change the move all together...oh the possibilities....
what are some of you thoughts on the game play of mk6?

im just talking about using the joysticks and such (on a ps2 controller) and maybe making the attack buttons pressure sensitive.

indeed..this way, they can keep the same styles and stuff the same, but add whole new depth mixed in with that.

lol, it's funny noone understands your topic scorpio...I would rather use the digital pad for my fighting games, I've tried the analog for Soul Calibur and I absolutely hate it. They can do the same added gameplay you talk about with the D-Pad.
