The only thing confirmed that I know of is that MK6 is going to have a more indepth one player game. It was said in a interview with Ed Boon in a GI magazine.What that means? I have no idea he didnt go into details. It could me online play or a more indepth story mode or maybe both who knows.

- Late 2003/Early 2004 release date
- Using the same engine as MK:DA
- What Reptile MK:DA

I think pretty much the only thing that is assured is that there will be an MK6, and it is current under devlopment..... That is if Midway doesn't completely fold.

here are the facts:
1:mk6 will be polygonal.
2:it will be a fighting game and have backgrounds.
3:it will feature 'fatalities'.

Here are the only confirmed things about MK6.

1. It will go online

2. MK6 will be diffenent on each of the 3 platforms(PS2,GC,XBOX)

3, MK6's fighting engine will use MK: DA fighting engine but it will have 50% new engine built onto that

4. Dragon King will be the main focus in MK6

5. You can sort of guess that Baraka will be in MK6 since his pic was leaked and the render of him was pretty detailed.

No realease dates have come out for MK6. All the release dates you here about MK6 release are guessing based on some web sites. Also the only real release date you will get for MK6 is when Midway releases it to the public. So far that hasnt happened. We will get tons of info at this years E3 on MK6. So it is unknown when MK6 could come out. I dont think MK6 will come out this year. Keep in mind that MK team finish and realease MK: DA in Nov of 2002. In a fightnight chat in Dec of 2002 the MK team confirmed that MK6 was in the making so MK6 has only been in Dev for only a ytear and 2 months you can guess that it is far to early for it to come out this year since it hasnt even been in Devpment for 2 years like most games. I have not trying to damp in everyone hopes for MK6 this year but you put together the realistic time table for a game such as big game like MK6 and it being release just under 2 years doesnt sound right. again E3 will tell all.
