About 237 earth years ago in Hell,
Shinnok dethroned Lucifer and put him into “Mitoca”, which is a comatose state for a soul. Unknown to Shinnok, Lucifer had a son, Kurenos, who secretly assisted in his father’s defeat, for personal reasons.

About 223 Earth years later
Shinnok finally launched an assault on Earth and Outworld to expand Hell’s territory with Quan Chi’s assistance and his amulet, but his threat was stopped by the Earth warriors and he was eliminated by Raiden.

Unknown to Shinnok, Kurenos had been studying him on earth. Kurenos had planned to possess him through whatever means, since his Godly power could make for perfect power continuity between Kure’s Hell form and his physical manifestation. Kurenos would use Shinnok’s body in his quest to merge Hell with Earth and Outworld, but Raiden had disrupted his plans by killing Shinnok.

Kurenos was about to give up hope, when he found out that Quan Chi was back in Hell. He found Shinnok and put him into Mitoca so ‘Shin’ couldn’t resist his newfound plan. It took 3 Earth years to find Quan’s location, but just 1 Earth Day after confirming that Quan was in the 5th plane of Hell, Quan had escaped. He would have to wait for another earthborn sorcerer, but Shinnok was still integrated into his plans.

Kurenos had gone to his home to think things over, only to witness a strange looking ‘woman’ using a glowing sword to destroy the ‘comatose’ Shinnok’s ethereal form. By the time he had even thought of doing anything, it was too late, as Shinnok’s soul was mere mist now. Before he could take any action, the ‘woman’ disappeared in a flash of light.

Again, Kure’s plans were disrupted. Although he still kept his central goal in mind, he laid off of it for a while. Despite this, another opportunity came just 5 earth months later, when both Quan Chi and Shang Tsung were sent to Hell. He immediately went to find them. Correctly guessing that they would be in the 5th plane of the Netherrealm, Kure located their domiciles and used his inherited sensing ability to conclude that Shang Tsung would be the most useful to him.

He told Shang of his new plan, and Shang wouldn’t go along with it at first, but was convinced when Kure put Quan into Mitoca and threatened Shang with Quan’s fate. Using a spell so powerful it can only be used about once in a millennia, Shang would be able to send Kure to Earth to possess a body, but it would have to be dead. Do you think you can guess who was chosen?
Guess ..
.
..
.
Liu Kang.

Kurenos saw that Liu Kang’s brain and body, even posthumously, were the most worthy of merging with his awesome power, even though he would be weakened a lot. Shang Tsung happily obliged. With the war for Hell’s throne being in a stalemate due to almost every competitor fully realizing what’s eventually going to happen to them, there were no problems with the shift to earth.

Only a month later, ‘Kur-ang’ got out of Kang’s burial chamber in the Shaolin monk’s body, which wasn’t clean of organs for several unknown reasons like it probably should have been. The ‘new’ Kang also had tattoos on him reflecting his infernal status.

Kung Lao was nearby and confronted by Kur-Ang, who wouldn’t have won the battle that came afterwards if it wasn’t for Kung’s mix of depression and confusion. Mentally offset by the fact that an earthling almost beat him, Kur-Ang was convinced to strengthen his new host body.

Now that he was material, Kur-Ang could put the corporeal version of one of his black arts to use. He could travel realms now, but if there wasn’t a definite portal, one had to be made from a long, drawn-out act utilizing his inner ethereal energy. He made this portal and traveled to Outworld.

Outworld had gained a greater sense of peace oddly since the destruction of the Deadly Alliance, but to its dismay, the Dragon King had hatched very soon after, using Reptile’s body as a host. The Dragon King alone had enslaved Outworld into a tyrannous rule. Kur-Ang would have to get rid of him if he is to carry out his plan of Hell’s territorial expansion. With him looking like just another one of the weird people that can be found in Outworld, he started his training right under DK’s nose

Meanwhile, Kung Lao had told Raiden of the ‘new’ Kang that had attacked him. Through Kung’s description, Raiden had known that they were now dealing with an infernal deity. He consulted with Fujin, now the official protector of earth, on what to do. They decided that while Raiden was working on *Scorpion’s case* and starting to train the fighters on earth who would participate, Fujin would send part of Yakuza Unit, a lower rank unit of the Otherworld investigation Agency (OIA), into an Outworld investigation to spy on this new Kang.

Four of the Yakuza Unit went into Outworld, but only 2 came back about a week later. Kur-Ang had caught 2 of them spying at separate times and thinking that they were DK spies, dealt with them mercilessly. Even through this tragic loss, the info that the remaining 2 spies came back with was substantial.

Kur-ang planned to assemble a squad of fighters and improve their abilities with his ‘Dark Gifts’ while training. He would first carefully hand pick these warriors, going by their status and overall closeness to the Dragon King, then when the DK was gone, he would become more random with his selections. Next he would fuse Outworld with Hell using crystal balls similar to Shao Kahn’s. Knowing that earth has warriors greater than Kung Lao, the one he almost lost to, Kure would be gathering as many troops as he could. There was a possibility that Edenia would end up a target as well. It would all be over when Kure conquers earth.

After visiting Edenia and convincing Kitana of the possible threat, Raiden put Earth’s main warriors into training to prepare for Kure’s possible march into earth, while Fujin kept basic watch over earth and led B-Unit attacks into Outworld on DK troops.

About 7 months later, Kur-Ang managed to kill Dragon King with help from his newly assembled troops despite the Yakuza team’s best effort to eliminate troops that Kure could recruit. Due to Scorpions new condition, the Yakuza unit could not get new recruits by brainwashing criminals. With all the chips down, Raiden had decided along with Fujin to go into war.

Some warriors train, some plot. Some climb clocktowers with Uzis. All that is certain is that Kombat has begun once again

Please offer feedback. Since this is a basic storyline, I want people to insert their own character bios into here.
The bio's don't have to be as long as the one for Scorpion I plan to put up...

Scorpion

"I haven't seen anything like this in a long time", Raiden uttered, as he watched a jacked-up Scorpion lay waste to Quan Chi in Shang Tsung's Outworld palace. The fight had had so many turnarounds from it's beginning, when Scorp surprised Quan as the sorcerer was about to finish off a weakened Raiden, to about a minute and 30 seconds ago.

Within the aforementioned 00:01:30, Quan Chi had gained the upper hand in the battle once more, using all of his power. Although he had closed the Soulnado portal to the Heavens after the Earth warriors destroyed the mummified corpses of the Dragon King's army, Quan had a different plan. He would try to send Scorpion back to Hell again, using the same method as last time, since Scorpion seemed too weak now to even try tackling him again.

Scorpion stood up and saw Quan sluggishly trying to make the portal again and was immensely angered at his inability to do anything about it. He then felt something weird as he thought of failure once again. Thoughts of being away from his family longer, the pain he was in now, and the hatred he possessed for his enemy ran together into an infernal rage near-impossible to suppress. He didn’t understand how he was being overcome with this anger, when he has suppressed it lots of times so that he could focus that energy into his mission. Even though he didn’t know what was happening to him, he felt and heard his breathing getting louder and more rapid, his ‘face’ grimacing, his focused state of mind slowly slipping away, his ‘skin’ burning, and his self-dissatisfaction egging him on

This anger built until it couldn’t be held-back anymore. The ninja Spectre let out a long scream that not only shocked Quan into stopping development on the portal, but was heard all through Outworld. During this scream, Scorpion acquired a blood-red aura, bigger muscles, glowing red embers for eyes, and a reddish-brown skin tone. He kept these even after the scream, which went on for a full 14 seconds.

This modified Scorpion stared at Quan Chi with a look that screamed anger even when shrouded by his mask. Scorpion yelled, in a darker, fear-invoking voice, “DIE!!”, as he charged at Quan Chi. When he was only 2 feet away, Quan threw a punch at him, while he threw a punch at the same time. The result was the starting point of the assault that had Raiden in awe. Scorpion’s punch literally tore through Quan’s punch, making the blood, bones, muscles, and tendon’s of Quan’s hand expose themselves like Mardi Gras whores. Quan let out a deafening scream, which Scorpion silenced with a punch to the face that broke Quan’s jaw to the point of near-disintegration and tore off some of the flesh surrounding that area.

As Quan wobbled around and bled from those 2 punches, Scorpion launched into a punching assault on his torso area, with each punch either breaking a rib, damaging an organ, producing a visible blood clot, or all of the above. Scorp ended the assault with a sweep attack to Quan’s left knee, producing a sickening crack sound and making Quan’s bloody knee cap and shin bone show themselves.

Quan fell to the ground bleeding and for whatever stupid reason made a shabby attempt at getting up. Scorpion capitalized by going behind Quan, who was on one knee now, and snapping his neck the same way that Shang did to Liu Kang. As all this happened Raiden was happy, surprised and confused at the same time. His confusion came from weird, intuitive-type thoughts that the assault he was witnessing was wrong and shouldn’t be happening. He had had feelings like this throughout the entire assault, and even as Scorpion went back to his normal self while standing over the mangled corpse of Quan Chi, Raiden couldn’t shake these thoughts. “It doesn’t matter now”, he said later, as he offered Scorpion a portal ride back to Earth along with the other Earth Warriors. Back at Earth, Raiden would work on getting Scorpion into heaven for killing a potential threat to all realms, or so he thought

This had been months ago.

Now, Raiden was realizing the revelation of those thoughts, as he can’t get Scorpion into Heaven.

You see, Scorpion was reborn in Hell, thus he gathers power from that realm. Because of his focus and ninja training though, he was able to focus and control that power to achieve his main goal; this basically means that all of the infernal energy within Scorpion is compressed into a ball which he can draw energy from at times to do things as long as he stays focused. But that was Scorpion’s focused side. Since his hunger for vengeance was so adamant, it practically made up a whole other side to him that’s been compressed from completing Scorp’s goal for too long. It finally acted on it’s own and let all of the infernal power in Scorpion run wild, the results being the DBZ-ish power-up demonstrated at the Palace. If Scorpion had kept this Hell energy compressed into the little ball that it actually was, Raiden could have simply removed the ball, effectively cleansing Scorpion.

Alas, the stunt at the palace made the energy rampant throughout Scorp’s body, and this effect stayed even with Scorpion back to normal, making him a little stronger when normal, I might add.
Our main ninja could have gone to Purgatory to get cleansed, but it would have taken too long. Raiden was screwed on what to do for almost a month, until the idea finally hit him.
With the aid of the Elder gods, Raiden would perform magical acts upon the specter that would allow Scorp to kill evil people and use the energy from their bodies to compress his energy once again. This would theoretically work, since Scorp was about to get into heaven for killing an evil person in the first place. This would screw up Yakuza Unit’s method of recruitment for trips into Outworld, but for Raiden, it was the only way to give Scorpion a quicker paradise. Also, there were a lot of possibilities. Scorpion’s new mission could affect the world, and if he kills Kur-Ang

Please offer feedback.

So no one's going to join in? If you are, remember that your bios don't have to be as long as mine.

Kung Lao

It had been months since Kung Lao had decimated the evil sorcerer Shang Tsung, but something he had just been told by Raiden refreshed the still vivid memory in his mind. He remembered his frustration on the Palace Grounds where the battle took place. Even though Kung had Shang outclassed in martial arts, the cowardly Shang repeatedly caught up with Kung using his magic, mostly fireballs.

Just when Kung thought that he would never be able to go into the Whirlwind assault that Bo Rai Cho taught him to defeat the sorcerer, a surprise came from inside Shang’s palace. A deafening scream pierced the atmosphere, being loudest to Kung and Shang, who were only about 30 feet away and were the first to hear it. The scream was so loud that Shang couldn’t stop it by covering his ears. Kung Lao was suffering for about 3 seconds into the scream when he had the brainstorm to cover his ears with his hat.

He attacked Shang, and by the time the 14-second scream was over, Kung was almost done with the Whirlwind assault. Shang was annihilated, and the countless souls he had consumed over the years fled from his corpse.

Months later, Kung Lao abhorred the thought that that wasn’t it; that that wasn’t the last pain he would feel from the Hellbound sorcerer. Raiden had told him that Shang had a significant part in the horrible event that happened little over a month ago, when “Liu Kang” arose from the grave. Of the incident, he remembers only himself praying at Liu’s tomb, the sound of footsteps, and the first 2 lines of dialogue between him and Kur-Ang before they fought:

“Who’s there?! Huh?! What the- Liu!! What is-“
“Quiet! The man you seek has ‘gone to Heaven’, as you humans would put it.”

Immensely angry that Shang would assist a demon in defiling the body of a dead shaolin monk, Kung Lao swore revenge, the same revenge he had followed up on only months ago.

Kung Lao was hellbent in the following month on doing whatever he could to defeat or help defeat this new threat as new info poured in about Kur-ang and his plan from Yakuza Unit reports. Alas, Raiden told him to stick to the training he was getting from Denowa, the strange womanlike being that Raiden created as an Elder God to kill Shinnok’s soul in Hell. The training was to control Inner Strength energy, or Fa Jing. Kung Lao, as the next champion of Earth, had to learn to harness his innate power .

Now, at the peak of his training, Kung Lao goes into Outworld as part of the first stealthy attack on Kur-Ang’s army by trained Earth warriors. Raiden, who is trying to overcome his Outworld weakness for any future threats coming from that realm, leads the silent attack. The Earth warriors meet on the flat top of a mountain to discuss the game plan. There are 4 members of the army Kung gets assigned to kill, as they don’t have useful information about Kur-ang himself or the details of his plan. With an outfit designed to camouflage himself in the Outworld night, Kung Lao sets out on his mission

Please give feedback and/or criticism, as I know that this isn’t up to the caliber of my previous bios

Frost?

“I should have known better”, Sub-Zero said with a heavy heart. The last time the conniving Frost tried to steal his medallion, she froze from an overabundance of power. This time, she was sure she could handle the power, but didn’t get close to the magical medal. Subby had used a special freezing technique to paralyze activity in her brain, as it was easier than the normal freeze. The threat of Frost was eliminated for now, but at a dire cost. Sub-Zero knew this as he lamented over the dead body of Sektor. “He had just regained his humanity, and you knew it.”, he yelled at the unconscious ninja traitor. “*****, I’ll never forgive you for this.”

Earlier, Sub-Zero, Raiden and the other Earth warriors had a rendezvous at their mountain top hideout. Kung Lao reported that he was halfway done with his mission, and awaited new orders, and many other revelations were unveiled. The most significant report was that a quarter of the Lin Kuei squad, including Sektor, Sub-Zero had brought with him in a mission had suffered some serious injuries requiring attention. Raiden decided that these soldiers should go back to Earth to get nursed and healed, and that replacement soldiers should be brought back while these warriors trained some more under Denowa. Soon these injured warriors would fight again in the war, but now they needed to get back to Earth. Raiden would teleport them to a secret location, where Cyrax would take them to the Earth OIA portal via his arm panel.

Maybe it was the Deja-Vu type situation. Maybe it was her desperation. All Sub-Zero knew is that as Raiden disappeared into the night, he felt sharp pains in his left leg. He looked and saw an ice dagger in his quadriceps. No sooner than Subby had realized that the dagger was in Frost’s sloppy style did the Cold- Sore side- kick him in the stomach. The Grandmaster was being attacked, but Sektor was the only one who wasn’t too injured or too busy setting portal coordinates to do something about it. He attacked, and had the upper hand for about 9 seconds before the new cold kid on the block stuck her finger into one of the ruptures on his damaged robot body and froze away. After that, all it took was a strong kick to the midsection for her to do the noble Ketchup in for good. Cyrax and Sub- Zero were devastated to witness the first loss of a Neo- Lin Kuei member. Frost turned to finish what she was doing before, only to see and feel an icy mist coming from Sub- Zero’ s fingers go through her stylish mask and enter her nose. The comatose state she was in afterwards would only last for hours.

Cyrax was stunned at what just happened and stopped development on the portal to have a moment of silence for his fallen Lin Kuei buddy, as Sub-Zero worried more about how he would tell Banner (the scientist who had worked so hard on regaining Sektor’s humanity and had acquired a friendship with the Crimson cyborg) the devastating news more than his own wounds.

Cyrax was soon done setting the coordinates, and everyone there including Frost were back on Earth in no time. Cyrax spun his robot head around until the weird tassels on his helmet had the flight capabilities of a helicopter, and lifted Grandmaster Ice to the LK headquarters. Sub-Zero said he would take it from there, as Simia began to heal him. Cyrax went back to OIA and Outworld, while Sub-Zero told Banner of what happened and questioned himself for thinking he had converted Frost. As soon as he was able to walk again, he transported back to where the others were Iceman style and brought them back. Everyone was healed excluding Frost.

Sub- Zero became so pensive over what to do with Frost that he fell asleep. During this nap, he had a dream where not only the spirit of Sektor, but also the spirit of his older brother told him what to do. He soon awoke from his little slumber and told Banner of his solution that would ease the good doctor’s pain towards the loss of an excelsior achievement and a friend such as Sektor.

This miraculous solution? Simply make Frost the new Sektor! Banner has always had the capability of such a feat with his expertise on human anatomy, mechanics, and special gismos, but wouldn’t do it to anyone because of what it would do to their humanity and possibly their soul. Needless to say, Frost was a special case.

It wasn’t as hard or long an operation as you would have thought. It only took 24 hours, from which you could subtract the eight hours of sleep the good doctor got. Banner did it with the help of a special kit he had made throughout his creation of many robots. Frost was altered in the same way as Sektor and Cyrax; only she had a specific ability.

She had to be alive but unconscious during the operation (something Banner accomplished with the help of many drugs) for many reasons. The only problem with this was that her memory could resurface. To further heighten the chances against this happening, Banner made the new Sektor’s abilities revolve around fire. Ironically, he was about to upgrade the original Sektor with the mechanisms that would have made this possible, so the upgrade part of the operation only took 2 hours.

With new orders, Neo-Sektor was ready to roll. Sub-Zero questioned whether or not what he had had done to Frost was truly the right way to go as he took the new robot and his hand- picked replacements for the war against Kur-Ang to OIA to meet with Cyrax as scheduled

Outerworld Investigation Agency UF report # 3

Name: Reptile
Height: 5”8’
Weight: 189 lbs.
Birthdate: Unknown
Race/ Nationality: Unknown, possibly Zaterran/ Unknown, most likely Japanese

Information on this new warrior on the side of Earthrealm in the war against Kur-Ang’s forces is still hard to come by.

Here’ s what we know: The original creature that had the same codename of this new OIA recruit became a possessed host body to the beast known as the Dragon King. Only a short time later, the original ‘Reptile’ was killed as Dragon King, when our current threat to Earthrealm, Kur-ang, killed him with the help of his army.

The chances of this new Reptile being the old one are none. Several Yakuza Unit reports describe how the Dragon King’s body was successfully mutilated and then cremated in the 2 days following his murder. Also, the reptilian creature that attacked Cyrax and damaged his arm panel during the time of the Deadly Alliance was more dehumanized and primitive than this new creature, according to Cyrax’s own words and observations.

We codenamed this weird creature Reptile not only because he said that it was his name, but because as mentioned above, he looks like a more humanized version of the original creature.

This new recruit has great fighting skills, a Japanese accent and great English word vocabulary, and what appears to be an unnaturally strong desire to kill Kur-ang.

The unknown facts about this creature far outweigh what we know as of now, as he was only recruited because of his superb fighting skills. His true motives in this fight are very unknown and we have a special agent looking after him to find them out. Overall, with our very narrow database of info on him, he is possibly a very serious threat to the OIA and the Lin Kuei, which he has talked about joining at the war's end

Risk Rating: A+++

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, this bio pays homage to the Story Mode of one of the greater fighting games of all time, Guilty Gear X2. If you have the game, then you know that each character’s story starts out with a report like the one above.

Zoni Mitka
Codename- the Transient

Although he has been in the OIA since mere days after the Deadly Alliance's end, it's mostly unknown where this new OIA recruit got his amazing stealth abilities. Rumor has it that he is a shape-shifter.

Although no one in the OIA has actually seen him go from visible to invisible, it's been logically concluded that total invisibility is one of his talents, hence his codename the Transient (someone or something that can slip in and out of existence).
This ability would explain his skin color. Normally people are albino because of a lack of melanin in their skin. He has so many levels and colors of melanin in his skin that when they fuse together they become white. He is able to change his color at will.

Few people, including Special Agents Kenshi and Cyrax, can sense Zoni when he is completely invisible.

Which gave Raiden an idea to send him on an Outworld mission.
A mission of great importance if it yields what it's supposed to...

When Raiden found out from one of the Elder Gods that Shang Tsung put Kurenos in Liu Kang's body, he soon went on a venture to find out where Tsung's house was, in hopes of finding a reverse switch to Shang's sorcery.
He found out the location of the home from Scorpion, but he would be too busy helping command earth's army to investigate it. Besides, Kur-ang has members of his army guarding the house in an impressive formation.

Zoni, who has just somewhat finished probing Reptile to see about his true motives in fighting Kur-Ang, boards the flying Outworld ship Dragonfly to get to the rocky terrain from where he can venture to the house.

The only obstacle ahead of him now is to get past the Nomads guarding the house...
